Chapter 11: Disguise

Sub's POV

I spent a while pondering where we could meet up tonight. I felt butterflies in my stomach making it hard to decide. I had never been so delighted. I needed to pick a perfect place to meet.

I had finally decided that we should go to that late night pizza place down the street that no one really ever cares to remember the name of but it was good so it didn't matter.

I picked up my phone and called Y/N. "Hello? Sub?" I loved hearing her voice. I smiled and tried to speak again. "M-meet me across y-your street?" I smiled when I heared her giggle from across the line. "Of course Sub! See you then!" I assume she meant immediately so I got ready as fast as I could.

I snuck into the living room when I saw my "mom" sitting on the couch watching television. She suddenly looked quickly towards me as my heart dropped and my stomach did a flip. Is it just me or is she ten times more creepier at night time?

"Where do you think you're going young man?" I sighed. No one ever seems to get that I can not talk, well, barely. "O-out." I stuttered. She looked at me with knit eyebrows and stood up. "When will you be home?" I thought for a second. I actually had no idea. "A-a few h-hours." She looked at me as she narrowed her eyes. "Alright. Don't stutter and remember, it's a school night." I sighed silently in relief. I smiled and nodded as I walked towards the door while waving at her.

I ran as fast as I could down the street a ways towards Y/N's house. I smiled at the thought of us laughing and smiling at the resteraunt.

I had finally arrived at Y/N's house. "Hi Sub!" Y/N greeted. I nodded once while smiling. They looked amazing! I took their hand in mine and lead them down the street towards the resteraunt.

We had arrived and took a table. I sat Y/N down and then I sat down. We both ordered and sat and talked. "I'm so glad we could do this Sub!" I smiled and nodded. "Me too!" Y/N grinned brightly. "Tell me about your friends!" Suggested Y/N. I smiled and took a breath. I hadn't seen my friends in a while. "W-we should a-all hang o-out at s-s-school tomorrow!" Y/N beamed. They were so beautiful! "That's a great idea!"

We both talked back and forth. We ate and talked and laughed for hours. "Sub, this was so much fun!" I nodded and giggled a little. "Well, I had better get home. Are you ready?" I nodded and we both stood up. I paid the bill and left a tip and we both walked out the door.

We were walking down the street when a big guy walked past us and knocked me over. My wallet slid into the alley way. The guy stood me up and dusted me off. "I'm so sorry sir!" I nodded once and walked towards the alley way to get my wallet. I held up a finger to Y/N to signal 'one second'. They smiled and nodded once. It didn't actually only take a second. It was so dark and it slid half way under the dumpster.

I had finally gotten my wallet when I walked back over to where Y/N was. They weren't there. I tried to shrug it off and thought that they had just walked home by there selves after I took so long. As I walked back home I couldn't help but think that something bad had happened to Y/N.

I decided to stop by their house to talk to their mom and see if they were at home. I knocked quietly at the door. A woman walked up to the door and opened it up as she smiled. "Hello! You must be Sub!" I smiled and nodded. I tried not to stutter. "Is Y/N home?" The woman looked at me with a slightly worried look. "I thought they were with you?" I looked down at my phone. "Oh, she just texted me and said that she was at my house." I looked up and smiled at her. "Alright, could you tell her to come home when you get to your house?" I nodded and waved as I walked away.

My heart dropped and my stomach felt like it was eating itself. I panicked and my eyes were filling with tears. Where could they be? I need to find them!
