Sub's POV

It was pretty late before I had finally gotten home after searching for Y/N for a few hours. I was a mess. I was crying and I could hardly speak. I was shakey and it felt as if my blood sugar was getting low (sorry it's a diabetes referance, I like to joke about my cronic disease sometimes xD hahahaha end me ;-;).

I snuck past the living room trying not to make any noise. I walked into the kitchen to see what time it was. I glanced at the microwave to see that it was nearly two in the morning. I hurried up to my room. Of course my "mom" didn't notice I was gone for so long. They're all the same.

I made it up to my bedroom and began to take my dirty shirt off so I could change into my pajamas. That is, until I heard my phone ring.

I looked at the area code. It was local so I decided to answer it just incase it was my old caretaker or something. I wasn't always good to remember phone number. Except for Y/N's, *sigh*. Oh! Where was I? Oh yes, I picked up the phone.

"Hello?" I asked quietly. I didn't hear anything except for raspy breathing. "I t-think you have the wrong n-number." A laugh that seemed to echo inside of my stomach and across my mind filled the room. "I believe I have the right number. Is this, Sub?" I took a long pause. How did he know my name and number? Does he have Y/N? I didn't know but I had to find out.

"Y-yes, this is S-Sub." I didn't have much time to think of a response. I stuttered in fear but tried to sound as calm as possible. "I believe I have something that belongs to you." Oh those last four words, they made my heart skip a beat. My mind was beating itself up trying to get me to say something reasonable. "Let her go." I said in a small voice. "It's about time." The raspy voice boomed. I jumped a bit and went cold but I was still standing strong.

All of the sudden the phone call ended. Why did he just call me to tell me that he had Y/N? Something very fishy is going on.

I tried to forget about it and fall asleep. Surely he would call back. There wasn't much I could do at the time. I didn't bother to take a shower or change my clothes or anything. I only care that I would wake up getting some sign that she was ok.

It was the next morning and I woke up to the sound of a cup dropping in the kitchen. I immediately checked my phone. Nothing. No missed calls, no text messages, nothing.

I put on a new pair of clothes and sludged down stairs. I was woken up by the smell of pancakes. I sat down drearily at the table. My "mom" put a plate of pancakes in front of me and just stared at me.

"You could have been late for school if had stayed out any longer." And with that she turned on her heals and handed me a bagged lunch.  "You don't have to finish your breakfast, march straight out of that door and wait for the bus." And so I did. With the thought of Y/N being missing tucked away in my mind. I was determined.
