My eyes peel open and instantly close when I see the light beaming through the large window across from my bed. I pull the sheets over my head and turn on my side, enjoying the comfort of the sheets.
I lay still for about five minutes then my body starts to sweat. Stupid sun. I groan, kicking the blanket off my body and lay in a starfish shape, exposing my legs and stomach to the heat that was pounding through my bedroom window.
I hear footsteps walking up the stairs and stopping outside my room. The door knob wobbles and opens to reveal my brother standing in the doorway. I close my eyes and face forward, memories of last night came flooding back. I'm never partying again. It was such a disaster. Why on earth did I even allow myself to swoop that low?
"Why are you just standing there?" I say, still feeling his presence.
"Are you coming downstairs or what?" He asks, walking over to the bed and sitting himself down on the bottom.
"Yeah, I just need to ask you something first." I sit up, crossing my legal street and staring at him. "Why did you help me last night? I thought you hated me?" I ask and he rolls his eyes.
"Madison listen, you know when I say I hate you? It's a brotherly way of saying you're annoying as fuck and I love you but as much as you annoy me I couldn't have not helped you last night. If something bad happened, I wouldn't have ever forgave myself." He explains making me smile like a little bitch.
I lean forward and wrap my arms around his neck, squeezing him tight. "I love you too." I smile into his neck and he chuckles.
"Okay get off me and don't mention this to anyone or I will ruin you." He warns me and I nod.
He walks out of the room and it wasn't long until I follow behind him. When I came downstairs Megan was still here but she had her coat on so I'm guessing she's ready to go. I see that everyone that was here last night is still here and they all look hungover as hell. Me on the other hand, I didn't feel too bad considering I had vodka and ecstasy.
I sit down on the only free chair left and stared at the TV, not really paying attention to what they were watching. I looked over at the boys and noticed that there was one person missing. Calum.
"Where's Calum?" I ask and I notice Luke rolling his eyes which made me even more curious.
"He left early this morning because he was in some sort of mood." He huffed. I nodded slowly, looking around at everyone else.
"What kind of mood?" I ask and Michael groans.
"He was in a pissy mood with Luke now can you be quiet? I'm trying to watch this." He complained and I rolled my eyes, reverting my attention to the TV. I didn't sit there for long until I realised I didn't bring my phone down with me. Just as I got up to go get it I hear a beep from outside, guessing it was Megan's mum. I run over to her, squeezing her tight and she chuckled.
"I'll message you when I'm home." She assured me and I nod, waving her off and she walked down the path and hopped into the car. I waved at her and her mum then they drove off.
I shut the door and ran across the living room and up the stairs then into my room, grabbing my phone and scrolling down the notifications before unlocking my phone.
I opened the call app and dialled my mums contact number only to be greeted by the answering machine. I tried it two other times before giving up and shooting her a quick text telling her to call me as soon as she sees the message. I hadn't heard from her for a few days now and I was beginning to get worried.
I walk back downstairs, my eyes glued to my phone. I opened Instagram as I sat back down in the chair I was in before. I had a follow request from someone called Ella. It took me a few minutes to realise that it was the girl from last night. I smile as I accept the request and follow her back.
