Before we start this chapter, I'd just to like to say a huge congratulations to Liam on the birth of his baby boy, and becoming a father. It will take me a bit of time to get used to the fact that "Daddy Direction" actually has a child now haha.

Louis awoke early the next morning to the sound of his sons loud cries. He immediately sprung out of bed and rushed into his bedroom, the brightness of the morning sun waking him up even more than he was.

"Jacob, what's wrong buddy?" He worriedly asked the four year old. But his question was soon answered when he saw Jacob's vomit covered pajamas.

Louis felt a sudden sympathy for the small boy in front of him. Whenever Jacob was sick he was always emotional about it and that of course resulted in the tears.

Jacob looked up at his father, "I'm sorry daddy. I woke up with my tummy feeling yucky and I was going to call her name, but as soon as I opened my mouth I got sick all over my jamas." His sobs seemed to die down some and he was not hyperventilating anymore.

Louis kissed the top of his sons head - as if to say that he was not in trouble - and gently took Jacob out of his bed. He carried him into the bathroom and set him down on the countertop; turning towards the bathtub and switching the water on. He then carefully removed Jacob's Mickey Mouse pajamas and set him into the tub.

After ten minutes or so, Louis removed Jacob from the bath and wrapped him into a fluffy towel. He once again carried the four year old to his bed where he was changed back into new pajamas, and then carried to Louis' room where the father and son cuddled.

...

The next time Louis woke up was around ten in the morning; which was something that did not happen too often. Jacob was still asleep making Louis decide to leave his son be for now, as he did need his rest.

After grabbing his morning coffee and small slice of toast, Louis made his way into the living room where his laptop was placed open on the coffee table. He was looking through a different job advertisment page - in case he was declined the assistant job, he needed a backup plan.

Whilst he was just about to call another number for a pet sitter - which was definitely not the type of job he wanted - his phone had began to ring. Louis recognized the number as "The assistant of Harry Styles". He immediately accepted the call; hoping that it was good news.

"Hello?" Answered Louis. The sound of pencil on papaer could be heard through the other line.

A woman's soft voice spoke, "Hi, this is Margaret, the manager of Harry Styles. May I please speak with Mr. Louis Tomlinson?"

Louis gulped in anxiousness, "This is he," Another huge feeling over nerves flooded over him. He wondered what Margaret was calling about, he wondered if the news was good or bad; and that's all he kept doing was wonder about the call, that is until Margaret's voice shook him out of his thoughts.

"Ah, Hello Mr. Tomlinson. I am calling to let you know that my client, Mr. Styles, has decided to accept you for the job."

Louis was absolutely ecstatic when he received the news about getting his new job; yes he did love his current job, but a restaurant server doesn't get paid very much.

After about an hour Louis hung up the phone with Margaret, and it was a good thing as Jacob was starting to wake up. They had talked about payment, schedules, what the job was like, and finally, about showing the 'proper amount' of respect to Mr. Styles.

And although the last name "Styles" sounded vaguely familiar to Louis; the twenty-two year old couldn't quite put his finger on it.

At the moment; Louis sat with his son - who was munching on some saltine crackers and ginger-ale. Obviously this was not the way Louis had planned to spend with Jacob, but in the end it was better than having no time to spend with him.

...

Louis was extremely grateful when Jacob was feeling one hundred percent better than yesterday, and was well enough to go to pre-school. Early in the morning - the four year old was quite upset when he realized that he didn't get to spend much time with his dad yesterday, but Louis was quick to reassure him that there's always another day.

The rest of his day was spent as normal; working his required hours; picking Jacob up from preschool and bringing him to the afternoon daycare; and finally going to his nightly classes before returning home for the evening. At the end of each day Louis was quite exhausted, and he could only hope that his new job wouldn't be so tiring.

Little did Louis know that it was anything but that. He didn't know that his boss would be so tough on him, and for a very valid reason to.

...

Alrighty there's chapter 3!! I apologize for the chapters being so short, but I'm going to try my best to make them longer.

Also I was thinking about asking you guys a question or two at the end of each chapter. They would either be in relation to the chapter or just something random. So please let me know your thoughts on that and I'll see you guys in the next chapter - well not actually see you but hopefully you understand what I'm trying to say.

Love to you all;
A. ❤️
