Author's Note: Before we get started, I just wanted to say that this is my first time experimenting with second person POV, so please feel free to comment and let me know how it goes.

This FF will occasionally contain some mature themes and strong language. I'll try to put a warning on the chapters that have them.

If you're reading When Shadows Fall, I am still going to be working on that; I've just had this in my drafts for a while and I was going to publish this on Yoongi Day but my house lost power for four days D: Thank you to every single person who reads my stories; I really appreciate you! Oh, and I got the idea for this so long ago that I don't remember, but this was probably at least partially inspired by ravsisrekt's The Bad Blind Date. (If you haven't read that yet, you really should.) All right, no more from me :)

Prologue

Mature content; foul language

Seven years ago

You were laying down in your bed when you heard a crash from the living room. You buried your head under your pillow, but it couldn't stop the screams from the other room.

"Stop throwing things!"

"Stop lying to me, bastard! I know you were out with her!"

"I wasn't, bitch! You're just being a jealous moron!"

Swearing and more screaming continued to ring through the house. You sat up and changed into clothes, listening for the words that would surely come.

"Where's that lazy-ass girl of yours? She can back up my story!"

"No she won't, she knows what liars men are!"

"I'm not a liar! I'm not lying about this, dammit! She knows I was here the whole night while you were out with your lover–"

The voices were getting closer, and you stepped to the window and opened it. "I was shopping, idiot! You're the one sleeping around! And if Y/N helps you lie, I'll kick her out!"

Slipping out your window, you walked to the road, passing a few houses before you reached Yoongi's house and tapped on his window. You could still hear your mother and her boyfriend screaming at each other. How did she always manage to find men with a temper almost as bad as hers?

Yoongi looked out and saw you. He shook his head in sympathy and pointed towards the back door. You walked to it and waited for him to let you in.

"What are they fighting about tonight?" he asked as you walked in.

"Does it matter?"

He shook his head and disappeared down the hall.

You sighed and took your shoes off, then headed to the couch.

He came back with an armload of blankets and dropped them on the cushions. "You're lucky I wasn't sleeping already, or I wouldn't have let you in."

"Yep."

"And if you wake up the house again with your screaming, you'll have to find somewhere else to crash when they're fighting."

"Yep."

"Good night."

"Thanks, Yoongi."
