You still couldn't believe you'd agreed to go on a date with some depressed idol who couldn't handle some criticism. But, for Yoongi, and because some of the stuff being said was way too nasty and cruel, you had agreed.

Dates made you nervous. You hadn't been on one since you were in high school. Since... Cheol.

No. You were not going down that road. That was in the past, and would not affect you anymore.

You looked at the picture of this guy, Jung Hoseok. He wasn't the typical plastic-pretty boy band member, but his eyes and smile were so warm, and he had a handsomeness all his own.

The taxi driver hit the brakes and your head slammed into the seat in front of you. Barely restraining yourself from cursing, you looked around to see stopped traffic.

Great. You'd had a long flight, and now you were stuck in traffic on the way to your mother's.

Your mother's.

Yes, you had decided to listen to your wallet instead of your common sense. You only hoped that the visit would end quickly.

You cleared your throat. "Excuse me, do you know how long this traffic is expected to last?" you asked the driver.

"The traffic is only supposed to last for another hour or so," he said, smiling in the mirror. "Then we should be able to go quickly to the bus station."

So you'd miss the bus to Daegu, and have to catch a later one. Looking in the rearview mirror at the man, you smiled back, wondering how the man was so cheerful. Of course, that was kind of part of his job. "Thank you." You leaned back on the seat and closed your eyes, keeping your phone in your hand.

Another sudden jerk to the brakes cause you to lurch forward, and you sighed. Napping was apparently out of the question.

Finally walking into your mother's house, you looked around for her. Suddenly an unfamiliar man appeared in the hallway.

"Annyeong," he said. "Are you Y/N?"

"Yes. Are you my mother's new boyfriend?" you asked. She was always switching from man to man, and in this aspect you were determined not to be like her.

He smiled, and your perv-senses tingled. "Yes, I'm her new boyfriend."

"Nice to meet you," you said, tightening your grip on your suitcase. "Is my mother home?"

"Yes, I'll take your luggage up. She's in the kitchen." He hurried over and took your suitcase, his hand briefly touching yours. You practically ran to the kitchen, trying not to judge the man too harshly. But you would be locking your room door that night.

"Hello, Eomeoni," you said.

She looked up from the food she was making - ramen. Again. "Y/N!"

She crushed you in a hug, then smacked the back of your head. You blinked. Thirty seconds into my first visit in three years and she's already at it. "I thought you were going to be here hours ago! What happened? I was worried!"

Sure, you thought. "Traffic."

"Oh, of course, silly me. Jagi!" she barked. "Have you taken Y/N's luggage up yet?"

"He was carrying it upstairs," you said. "Where did you meet this one?"

She pushed you out of the way as she went to grab an egg. "Don't give me that tone. I met him at work, and I've told you so many times, don't you dare talk to me about my love life until you get one of your own, young lady."
