Chapter Twenty Two- witness protection

I worked up the courage to speak after sobbing into Logan's chest for the last ten minutes. I couldn't get any words out. I managed to tell Logan what the man had said to me. I told him how it freaked me out and how I just dropped my phone from the shock. Logan understood and went to make a call. When he returned he had Said come on, we're going to my office. I felt scared to leave the house but most of all I hated that this man knew everything about me and this was his was of intimidating me and it was working. I was afraid to go outside. I just wanted to cuddle up in bed and not give him any reason to know anymore about me. I mean this man could strike at any time anywhere. It hadn't even crossed my mind about how dangerous he could be. What if he would take extreme measures to get to me. What if I was putting Logan and his mam in danger. I wouldn't be able to live with myself if i had some how caused either of them pain. We got into Logan's silver bmw and drove to Logan's office. Once we entered I said "where do you want me to wait?" Logan relied " your coming into my meeting with me!" Okay I replied. We entered a large conference room and there was about ten people sat at the table. I knew they were all waiting for Logan to enter before they began. Logan pulled out a chair and signalled for me to sit along side him. I did. And soon the meeting was in full swing. Towards the end Logan stood up and said that he was talking some time off because he has a case that is his tip priority, they were all shocked but understood. As we left the building Logan said " we're going into witness protection program" I was shocked. I couldn't expect Logan to take time off for me. After all I brought this to him. Logan has informed people to get ready a safe house and to stock it with clothes for me seen as I didn't really have anything with me. "Let's hope this sicko doesn't find you this time and takes our bate!" Logan said. And with that there was a worried silence.
