Chapter 39

Unknown POV:

My dear Lillian, I'm so happy your finally here. I have been waiting for you longer than you would realize. Stroking her hair I feel complete. Happy even. Is this what it feels like to have someone and never let them go? I feel like I'm high on drugs and I'm not going to be coming down anytime soon. I look at Lillian she looks so peaceful, just lying there on the bed, my bed none the less. She really wanted me to catch her if she didn't she wouldn't have teased me to take her. She is my angel and I am her devil. Together we will rule this is our life. Our time to shine. This is my life my love and my happy ending.

Logan's POV

I have been worried sick non stop since I found out Lilly is missing. She wouldn't just run away would she? Maybe she went back to the house I though. I rushed back to the safe house to see if she was there. Running up the stairs I missed some steps and nearly fell a few time. I didn't care. I had to make it to Lilly's room to see was she there. I swung the door open causing it to bang off her unit behind the door which in the process ended up knocking the pictures off, I didn't care at this point. Disappointment filled me to see that she wasn't there. Walking over to her bed I noticed an envelope addressed to me. Shit I thought. This isn't good. If there's a letter here that means she ran away, after all it is her handwriting.

Frantically opening the envelope I felt my nerves rise. How could she run away I thought? Wasn't she happy? Didn't she know i would do anything to protect her?

Finally I got the now battered envelope open and pulled out the letter and began reading.

My dearest Logan,
I am writing this letter to explain to you why I have ran away. As much as it pains me to have to do this I need to protect you. I cannot allow you to put your life on the line for me. This is my problem and I've dragged you into it enough. I will be forever grateful for all you have done. For all the time that we have spent together. For all the brilliant as well as beautiful memories we share. I am sorry that I could not be there to tell you face to face but I knew you wouldn't let me leave if I had. I value you to much Logan. Your all I've ever wanted and all I've ever dreamed of. You are the love of my life and hopefully when all this is over we can see each other again. I will do everything in my power so that I can make my way back to you. I love you. Please never forget that.

Shock overtook me reading this letter word for word. Tears welling in my eyes. They blurred my vision so bad. I could hardly see. Soon I felt the tears escape my eyes, falling on to the one thing I have left or Lilly. The dreaded letter I was holding. Re reading it Incase I missed something I just couldn't understand why she couldn't just let me protect her. I was there to do it. Why couldn't she just let me do it?
I have to find her. I can't leave her wondering around alone while that psychopath is still out there. I need to find her. Running down the stairs again missing steps I clutch the letter in my hand and head back towards the town to look for Lilly. I will not allow her to get injured. I will find her and I will make sure she will be safe.
