Gaby's pov

I was walking out of the grill when I heard someone calling me.

Voice " Gaby!"

I turned around and saw Elena.

Me " El- Kathrine "

My eyes widened. It had to be Kathrine. Elena was sleeping over at Caroline's.

Kathrine smirked " Hey, Gaby"

I gulped and looked around.

Me " I need to go"

I turned around to leave but then I felt a sharp pain in my head and everything went black.

Later

I groaned in pain and slowly opened my eyes. Everything was blur at first. I blinked a few times and everything went clear.

I was in the tomb.

Me " What the hell?"

Kathrine kneeled down in front of me. Smirking.

Me " What do you want from me?"

I wasn't tied up. Maybe because she's a vampire and could kill me any second.

Kathrine " I want back what's mine"

Me " I never took anything from you, Kathrine "

Kathrine growled " don't play so innocent, Gaby"

She stood up and slowly walked behind me. She took a strand of my hair in between her fingers.

Kathrine " you know, I have no idea what he sees In you"

She then took another chair and sat down in front of me.

Me " Wh-what are you talking about?"

Kathrine " for how long do you think will this work? Hm? I bet he sometimes can't even be near you without having the urge to kill you"

I looked down.

Kathrine " you know, Stefan thinks he can live a normal life, a human life, but we all know that no vampire can do that. Sooner or later he will realize that and let you fall. "

I sighed.

Kathrine " and what about the age different? Hm? You will get older, weak and will stay human while he will stay like that forever. Do you really want to be with a 17 years old guy while you're in your 30s hm?"

I bit my lips.
That's the problem. Stefan wanted to be with me forever but he didn't want to ruin my life. I want to be with him forever but he would never turn me.

I held back tears .

Me " He'll come for me"

Kathrine chuckled " you think?. I mean I saw how much you needed to be saved. And honestly, if I was Stefan I would get annoyed by it. You can't even protect yourself, he won't always be there for you to save you, Gaby. I would've already turned it off and killed you the first second I saw you"

Me "Stefan Is not like that"

Kathrine " of course he is not like that. You know how I know that? Because I turned him into a vampire. Because I loved him and he loved me. And it broke my heart seeing him leaving me for a weak little human bitch like you"

I shoke my head " his feeling for you were compelled "

Kathrine shoke her head " They never were. They were true and they still are "

I looked up to her " what?"

Kathrine " as soon as anything happens to you, leading to your death or him realizing how annoying you are, he'll leave you and come back to me. "

I shoke my head and let the tears fall " you're lying "

Kathrine shoke her head " Why do you think he is with you? Hm? Because he loves you? No. Because he can drink from you when he's thirsty."

Then she stood up and I jerked back. She chuckled at my reaction.  She slowly began to walk around.

Kathrine chuckled " you're like a human bloodbag"

Me " Are you going to kill me?"

Kathrine smirked and shoke her head " not yet"

Me " What are you waiting for?"

I whipped the tears of my cheek.

Kathrine rolled her eyes at me " See? That's what I'm talking about! You are always so sensitive.  You are weak. "

I looked up to her. I didn't know what to say.

Kathrine " you're even too afraid to speak up against me. I don't see why Stefan loves you. I really don't. "

She began to chuckle " at least I don't have to live with the fact of being his second chance"

Suddenly she got pushed against the wall. I jerked up.  Stefan was holding her against the wall.

Stefan growled " Stay away from her, Kathrine "

Kathrine smirked and flipped them over. She was pushing him against the wall.

Kathrine " nice to see you too, Stefan "

Stefan slammed her against the wall and looked at me " run !"

I stood up and ran outside. I looked around.  It was morning.

I heard them scream and I turned around. I heard Stefan yell up in pain.

I took a deep breath and walked back inside. I saw the wooden chair broke  into pieces. Kathrine rammed Stefan a stake into the stomach.  I rushed to the broken chair and took a stake out.

I slowly made my way to them.
I stoped Kathrine in the back and she yelled up. Stefan then broke her neck. Her body fell to the ground and Stefan fell on his knees next to her. He was groaning in pain. I kneeled down beside him and took the stake out. He groaned and let his head fall in the crock of my neck.

I put my arms around his neck.

Me " you came"

Stefan put his arms around my waist " of course "

I looked at him " how did you find me?"

Stefan " Matt said you left the grill but your car was still there. Didn't took me long to find out what happened to you"

I remembers Katherine's words and looked down. Tears began to roll down my cheeks again.

Stefan " hey "

He put his finger under my chin and pulled it up.  He looked so worried

Stefan " whatever she said, it's a lie. Don't believe her"

Me " Well -

Stefan cut me off with a kiss. Katherine's words disapeard and I smiled into the kiss.

Stefan put his forehead on mine .

Me " Thank you for saving me"

Stefan " you saved me first"

I looked him into the eyes. He meant so much more.

I smiled at him and he am miles back.
