Elijah and i walked into the compound. I had my baby in the arms while Elijah carried all the stuff. It's been like 1 year since we got married and then a few weeks after that i got pregnant. Yes, the baby's his. And Yes, a witch helped me get pregnant by a vampire. Today we're going to bring baby Matthew home for the first time. 

My eyes widened when i saw the decorations that were hanging everywhere. 

My jaw dropped "oh my god"

There was hanging a big banner with the WELCOME HOME MATTHEW written on it. 

I looked at my husband " I though we wanted to keep it a surprise and tell no one"

Elijah looked at me "I only told Rebekah"

I nearly face palmed myself "Rebekah. You told your sister not to tell anyone that we were going to come home today? And she listened?"

Elijah sighed "oh boy"

Suddenly we heard Rebekah squeal "Oh my god is that baby Matthew?"

She walked to us with a big smile on her face. 

I nodded and saw the others walking to us. 

Me "Meet the newest family member; Matthew Mikaelson"

Rebekah "can i hold him?"

I nodded "of course"

I carefully gave him to her. 

Rebekah smiled "he has your eyes, Elijah"

Matthew was looking at her. 

Nik and Kol looked at him with smiles on their faces. 

Rebekah sat down on a sofa and Hayley and Hope joined us. 

Hope walked to Rebekah and looked at Matthew. 

Hope then looked at us confused. 

I put my arms around Elijah's middle "What's wrong, Hope?"

Hope "He's so small"

We all laughed. 

Hayley "You were once that small, too, sweetheart"

Her eyes widened shocked "What? really?"

We all started to laugh. 

I looked at Nik giggled "good luck with giving her The Talk, Nik"

He chuckled and looked at Matthew. 

Elijah put his arms around me and kissed my hair "Thank you"

I asked confused and looked at him "for what?"

Elijah "for giving my life a purpose, for being my wife, for giving e this beautiful son and a family that i would die for"

I smiled with tears in my eyes "i love you"
