Phelps talk about George *f*

One of the saddest moments in the entire Harry Potter series is the moment that Fred dies *SOB*. #stillnotoverit.

And even though George Weasley goes on to have a life, expanding Weasley's Wizard Wheezes, marrying his Quidditch teammate Angelina Johnson, and having a son named Fred and a daughter named Roxanne, you can't help but think his life would be totally empty without his second half.

So when I recently asked Oliver Phelps what George would be doing now at the premiere of The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, his answer was absolutely perfect.

"I think he'd dive into the family business even more and try to make it even better in Fred's memory," he told Seventeen.com. "And I wouldn't be surprised if Fred was a ghost in the shop."

OMG that would be PERFECT. Imagine how much mayhem he could cause as a poltergeist. And how many puns he could make about being dead!

In Harry Potter and the Order of Phoenix, Nearly Headless Nick explains that the people who come back as ghosts are those that are afraid of death. That puts a damper on the theory then, because there's no way Fred was afraid of anything, least of all dying. However, he also says that the people who become ghosts are those that "chose to remain behind," so it seems like it might be a personal decision, in which case Fred would definitely choose to be a ghost so he could continue to cause anarchy with his bro freed from the constraints of his body. And, as Oliver points out, many of the poltergeists at Hogwarts died in battle, so that fits into the theory as well.
