You yawn, your eyes opening slowly to the bright sunlight. You lift your tired body up from your boat. Did you fall asleep on here? You look around, where's Conrad?

Slowly you slide off the wood and walk among the grass. You stretch your body, your eyes are going to fail on you again if you don't get physical enough. You mumble, when did you even go to sleep?

You hear Hank shouting in the distant. As well as Reg, complaining back to him. You yawn again, stretching your arms as the boat comes into sight. San and Houston are the first people you see. They aren't on the boat by they are having a little chat.

You smiling, finding it cute with the way Houston looks at San. You break your stare from them and look to the boat. The back of Conrad is who you instantly see first. You smile as he turns around. He gives you a warm smile and jumps off the boat, slowly making his way over to you.

"Good morning L/N! I was wondering when you would be waking" he laughs, stopping right next to you, not knowing how to greet you. A hug? A hand shake? So now it's just a awkward stand.

"Ah morning Conrad, I can't even tell what time I feel asleep" you laugh, folding your arms across of your chest. He giggles and opens his mouth, his mind beginning to think.

"I believe you would have dozed off around 0400 hours. And it's currently 1200 hours I believe" Conrad nods his head. Your eyes widen, did you really stay up that late? You have a scheduled sleep time! You are certainly not the teenager you once were.

"What time did you sleep?" You ask, gesturing for you's to walk back to the boat. Conrad turns his heel and you's begin walking to the boat.

"Ehehe, I can't remember the last time I have slept, L/N" he says making you mumble and shake your head. Conrad looks to you with one of his eyebrows cocked while you stare at him like a angry parent.

"You have to sleep Conrad" you mutter. Conrad grins at your little lecture you are giving him. "Why don't you sleep?" You ask, stepping onto Hank's boat. Conrad sighs, stepping on board as well.

"A story set for another time" he whispers, his eyes flickering around. You look around at everyone working and you hum. You understand what Conrad means, he clearly enjoys privacy. But it does make your heart flutter that he is willing to tell you.

"Ah morning Y/N" Hank smiles widely. You look to him and give him a smile and wave. "I love it how you have spoken to Conrad more than you have spoken to me in 5 years.." He mutters, looking around the river.

Conrad looks to you and you laugh, crossing your arms over you chest and leaning against the pole. "That's because you always end up talking to yourself" you snort. Hank looks back to you and laughs hardly before turning back to the engine. "Come on guys! We are burning daylight!" He declares.

Everyone works hard. Fixing the engine and loosening the gears. You grip onto a metal pole, trying to pull it down with all of your will power but it isn't working. You groan, trying to use leverage but it clearly isn't working. You sigh, letting go of your tight grip. Your hands are flashing red and stinging bad.

"Here, let me try" Conrad says from behind giving you a fright. You gasp making Conrad chuckle. He gets a tight grip on the bar and begins pulling. Biting back his groan the bar slowly goes down. You watch, bending over out of breath and Conrad manages to get it down.

"I made it easier for you" you joke, turning around walking over to Mason. Missing his killer smirk.

You lean against a pole, cheering as the boat roars to life. Everyone on board claps as the boat begins moving. You laugh and look over to Hank. You notice his stern expression and you jerk your head around to stare at all of the villagers.

Slowly you and Hank walk over to the end of the boat. Watching them all stare at you. Your eyes flicker around till you spot Darcy, hiding among the villagers. You weakly smile, waving to them all. Both of you's say your farewells. With Mason in the back snapping the sight.

You turn around slowly to Conrad giving you a weak smile. You smile back to him, walking underneath the roof, sitting down on a crate. Conrad stands next to you as the boat goes down the river.

The ride is smooth and peaceful. Little talk being made over the time. You look around, observing the organic mountains surrounding you's.

Eventually, Hank pulls out his photo of his wife and begins chatting about her. He has told you many stories of his love life with her. You found it adorable with how he still loves her so much. And heartbreaking how he crashed a day after he heard that he son was born.

Knowing the fact that his son is a full grown man and he has never seen his father. God, just thinking about never knowing your father makes you feel sick in your stomach.

Conrad slaps the roof of the boat, snapping you out of your train of thought. "You'd be surprised with how long people wait" Conrad says, making you look to him. Conrad looks down to you's and you's both stare at each other for a quick moment.

"Young love.." Hank mumbles.

"Base 25, do you copy" you hear. Your head hits up to the top of the roof. Your eyebrows raise. Reg races himself for the two way radio.

"Base 25 here! 25 here!" Reg shouts, magically out of breath. You stand up, listening to the conversation above of you. "We are on a boat! On the river!" He explains. "Some old time traveller, it's more of a plane then a boat really.. But yeah- we are on a boat" Reg says, relieved that he has finally heard from his crew.

You smile, watching everyone's eyes on Reg. You look out ahead of you to see a flare being shot in the air. You smile and Reg and Conrad being laughing. You have no clue who these people are but they clearly must be good somehow.

You rub the dirt off of your pants when you hear a scream. You head jots up and you watch Victor being lifted into the air by leafwings as Hank told you before. Your eyes widen and you race to the front of the boat, thinking of ways to help him.

Conrad and Reg race to the front, picking up their guns and aiming them at the leafwings. But sadly the shot instant clear. Victor continues to scream, struggling to get free as he is pulled further and higher into the air.

You gasp and turn your head around at the sight of a leafwing slicing off one of Victor's arms. "He's gone.." Conrad declares, dropping down his gun. He notices you and bends down to you, rubbing your back. "Are you okay?" He worries, looking at you. You slowly look to him and nod. Conrad sighs and pulls you into a warm hug.
