"You're just going to sit there. In the dark. You're enjoying this right? Is this fun for you?" James asks, staring at the 2 way mirror in the interrogation room with his arms crossed and expression furrowed.
James sighs, looking at Mason who is sitting relaxed with a straight back in her seat while you are leaning back with your legs crossed on the metal table. Mason's expression is calmly furious, while yours is more frustrated with boredom. James let's out a sigh.
"I promise I won't tell the Russians" he promises.
"I promise I will tell the Russians" Mason says instantly. James turns around instantly, looking to Mason.
"She's going to tell the Russians" James informs them, looking at the mirror for any vibration or anything in general. You roll your eyes and removes your legs from the table, leaning forward and having your fingers tap on the metal tabletop.
"Why tell the Russians- When you can tell the Chinese?" You suggest, looking around. Mason laughs loudly and James points to you.
"She has a good point" he states, making his way over to the table. He sits down slowly and dramatically in the middle of you and Mason, leaning back into his seat. You copy him of course, but Mason remains as the lone wolf that she is. You's stare at yourself blanking in the mirror.
James mumbles to himself. He picks up a random pencil sitting on the table and chucks it against the mirror with quite a bit of force. But it only bounces off the mirror. It doesn't even leave a grey lead mark.
"Why are you keeping us here?" He questions to the mirror. But you know, mirrors don't speak. You roll your eyes looking over to James who's shaking his head.
"I want to go home" Mason states. Don't they know that you's didn't go on that island for a suicide mission? And you's did intend on returning from where you's came from? The damn government.
"I have a bloody sea to sail!" You exclaim, waving your arms around dramatically. James looks over to you with a smirk and pats your thigh softly. And yes, you still intend on sailing the sea. You'll just have to be a bit more careful with falling asleep and waking you to a storm. And getting stranded on an uncharted island.
"We get it" James says. "There was no island" he finishes, using body language. But of course, no response.
"We have already discussed this before we even got of the island" you say, referring to the moment a few days ago. "Words from that place will not come from us, right?" You ask, looking from side to side. James and Mason slowly nod, staring at the mirror with their arms crossed.
"We were never on a island.." James mutters. The door clicks open and all 3 sets of eyes stare at Houston walking into the room with San trailing behind him.
"Island what island?" Houston asks, Houston and San stand side by side by the two way mirror.
You cock an eyebrow as they sit themselves at the Mason. Mason's expression is still the same and James' is furrowed. "Brooks, what the hell is going on?" James questions.
"Welcome to Monarch" Houston says with a slight mumble, raising his arm. James lets out a chuckle and looks down, he can't believe that they have brought you guys here.
Houston and San sit on the opposite side of the table to you's. He places a folder down and opens it up. "This island, is just the beginning" he says pulling out photographs.
"There's more out there" San tells you's, leaning forward. You look to James who looks to you. While Mason just stares at them with a blank expression.
"What do you mean?" James questions, his voice becoming stern.
"This world never beloved to us. It belonged to them. The question is how long before they take it back" Houston says. The 3 of you's stare at them confused. Your expressions either furrowed or frowned. They really are making this sound confusion.
A projector turns on. A video to the right of you begins to be played. "Kong is not the only King.." Houston says with James leaning in closer to him to make sure that he is hearing all of this right.
Mason turns to the projector first. And then you, and James being lucky last. The logo of Monarch and its details begin to show. The shot changes to two people walking. Written 'section 8' and 'additional threats' over the video. As well as the Monarch logo.
The next shot looks like a drawing in a cave. Of a giant dragon or lizard with spikes on its back. You aren't exactly sure. You lean towards lizard with the fact that there are no wings.
Now here's a shot of a drawing that looks like a dragon, or a bird. You still aren't exactly sure, or sure if you even want to be sure. Your eyebrows furrow at the shot of drawing of a moth you assume. What's so dangerous about those guys?
Your blink at the shot of a dragon..? You still aren't exactly sure with 3 heads. You look around you to everyone with their eyes glued to the screen. What the Hell are these things? James slowly leans back, afraid of what else will be shown.
The last shot is the lizard fighting the 3 headed dragon. Oh no, what is to come now? Skulls and people watching the fight between them? You sigh, pinching your bridge of your nose.
"All I wanted to do was sail the world.. Now I'm getting dragged into this..." You mumble to yourself. James looks towards you and lays one on his hands gently on your thigh, rubbing it with his thumb.
"Don't worry, you's aren't joining Monarch" Houston informs you's. You's all let our relieving sighs. "Yet" he whispers but you's all heard loud and clear.
"What" all 3 of you's say in sync.
