I stood outside the airport, waiting for Drew to show up. I honestly thought he might now show, and then I was going to be stuck out here with nobody to help me out.

My parents understood when I wanted to leave, and they actually encouraged it. Even though I told my mom that I wasn't ready for anything serious, she was confused that Drew and I would be back together in no time. I wasn't sure if that's what I wanted or not though.

I smiled when I saw his car pulling up, and I waved frantically. Much to my dismay, a girl got out of the car with him. She was pretty with porcelain skin and cherry red hair. She smiled at me, holding her arms out for a hug.

"You must be Poppy! I'm Olivia." She was grinning, still holding her arms open. My eyes narrowed. Was she serious?

I looked over at Drew. "Seriously?"

He rubbed his forehead. "Poppy, not now, please."

"No warning? Nothing?" I scoffed, standing with my hands on my hips. "You know what, just give me the address. I don't feel like riding with you anymore. I'll give you gas money for coming all the way out here."

"How will you get there?" Olivia asked.

I stared at her. "Oh, I don't know. A taxi, Uber. Whatever." I shifted my gaze to Drew. "Address please." He sighed, reluctantly giving the address to me. "Okay, you can go now." They both stared at me. "Uh, bye?"

Drew rolled his eyes. "Come on, Liv." He opened her car door, turning to me after he closed it. "You're so childish."

"You've got some nerve, Andrew." I laughed, turning to walk away. "How about I stay at a hotel? Thanks for the offer."

"Poppy, please. Stay with me."

"Why?" I turned on him, tears threatening to spill over. "So I can bask in all your love? My fiancé just died, Drew! I don't need this shit." I rubbed my eyes, refusing to look at him. "I'm sure she's lovely and all, and I'm sure you're perfect for each other, but I can't and I won't be around you if she's around."

"Poppy-"

"Please just go. Thank you for the offer, but I'm going to have to decline." I pulled my phone out, looking for the number to a taxi service. Drew looked like he wanted to say something, but instead got in his car.

I stared at the vehicle as he drove away. For not the first time in my life, he made the decision to turn his back on me.
