Mark -

'Run. That's all I could do. The rain crashed down on me, soaking the clothes on my back. It was too late to turn back now.

The past half an hour of my life was hazy and uncontrolled. All I remember is arguing with Amy. Then a knife. Then blood. Then a body. Her body.

I continued running, not daring to stop. Until I tripped over my own feet. Crap. My face connected to the concrete and I cried out in pain. Amongst her blood, my own blood seeped from a gash on my lip.

Suddenly, an unfamiliar feeling began building up inside of me. I began to urge and crawled weakly to a patch of grass nearby.

I put my hand up to my face and gagged. If I was going to be sick, now was the time. A thick black substance covered my soaked shirt and the rest in the grass. My eyes glazed over and everything was blurring.

Before I passed out, the last thing I saw was the starry night sky...

When I  woke up, I was blinded by a crystal white light. I sat up realising that I wasn't  in the town anymore.

A white room. White bed which I happened to be sat on. I looked down at myself. No longer in my lucky flannel which was covered in black stuff. Instead, I was wearing all white. Where was I??

"Hello Mark"

A voice was behind me. I turned slowly to then be faced with a replica of myself.

His skin was a sickly grey. His hair was raven black, however, with blood red in the middle. His eyes were fire red, like they were dug out from the very pits of hell.

"Who...are you??" I asked. The other me just smiled and turned to face away from me.

"I'm your darkest fears. Your negative emotions mixed with anger and bad experiences. I'm your counterpart, Darkiplier, pleasure to meet you."

My mouth dropped. Only to be shut again by Dark. I'm just dreaming right?? This ain't happening.

I backed away slightly. My leg collapsed beneath me. Dark laughed as I screamed in agony. My leg was bandaged and propped up.

"Wha...??" I began.

"When you collapsed and set me free, I kinda took control and got in a few scraps and maybe killed about a hundred people??" Dark laughed at his pathetic attempt to lighten the mood.

I started screaming at the top of my lungs. How could he ruin my life like that?!  Now I'm a wanted psychopath!!

Refusing to grow mad, I asked them where we were.

"Mental asylum." He simply said.

Of course.

Then Dark walked towards me. His face inches from mine. Everything around us blurred once again. It felt like lightning was crashing down.

Dark's blood red eyes vanished and I began choking. Collapsing to the ground, I struggled to grasp at air. My body curled into a ball and shook uncontrollably. Tears burst from my eyes and I unconsiously started screaming.

After what felt like an eternity, my body calmed down. It burned everywhere and my warm tears marked my face.

"I will always be with you" Dark's voice echoed in my ears and I screamed. It felt like his voice seared through me, it was pure hell. I accepted what I was in for from now on.

That was ten years ago...
