(Pre-chapter A/N: So... I kind of like country. I picked one of my favorites. If you don't like it, don't listen. But it's great and I wanted to try something new :))
My alarm went off around ten a.m.. I groggily sat up on my bed and groaned. I wish I could stay in my little heaven called bed.
Care was still passed out, so I shook her.
"Care get up. Our first class is at ten-thirty," I complain.
"I don't want to go to class," she half-yelled into her pillow.
"Too bad. Get your lazy ass up and get ready, or no breakfast for you."
I went into our shared bathroom to put my hair into a cute ponytail. Right before I started to wash my face I heard stomps. If you thought I wasn't a morning person, you should have seen her at that moment.
I knew she was going through too much. I'm glad she got a good amount of sleep though. It was nice to see that the bags under her eyes had cleared up.
"I'm going to grab us breakfast, and by the time I get back, you better be ready and happy to go," I said after I finally got dressed.
"Fine. I already picked out my outfit. Sweatpants," she said a little more cheerily.
"Well then, let's get to the cafe before breakfast is over, you lump," I reply feeling better already.
She just nodded, still half asleep, and we headed to our next destination. The cafe was filled with students who were also on their way to classes. I hated interacting with most of them, but I would ignore it if I could just have my morning tea.
Care practically ran to the coffee as I headed to the tea station next to it. Jenna, Haley, and Kate were all socializing there when I arrived.
It was a little awkward because the last time I saw them was when we went dancing. I totally forgot to tell them I left. That is, unless they saw me leave with James. I internally groaned. This was going to be fun.
"OMG- look it's Dri!", Jenna practically shouts.
Haley and Kate both turn their heads and give me a smile.
"Hey. I haven't seen you guys in a little while," I say feeling a little weird.
"Yeah. We haven't seen you since you left with James," Kate explained.
Before I could interject, Haley decided to enter the conversation by saying, "Totally. We didn't know you and James got together."
"Oh, no. We aren't. I'm dating a guy named Daniel," I quickly interject.
They all smile and nod knowingly. I sign know that they will never be convinced. I smile back politely and excuse myself.
"Dri, Dri, Dri, Dri," Care repeats annoyingly.
"I know. We're going to be late. Grab your coffee and let's go," I said ushering her towards the door.
We fast walk to our classes and make plans to meet up later. It's a bit chilly out so I pull my arms closer around myself and rush into the building.
"Hey, bunny," said the devil himself.
"Hey, James. Ready for class?"
"Definitely," he said smirking.
We walk in together and I'm glad that we aren't the last ones. We quickly find two seats next to each other and I plop my stuff down. As I go to sit, I sigh. Tonight was going to be great.
James sat down next to me in a more graceful manner than I did.
"So, what are your weekend plans?" he asked first.
