Time was flying in my new relationship and Thanksgiving was sneaking up on me. I wasn't even sure if my parents were still together.

I would probably spend in in the dorms alone. I would have a week to myself, but it would be very lonely. I couldn't ask Care or James to stay because I'm sure their parents would want them to come back.

"Tonight my band is doing a small gig at a local bar. Do you want to come?" James asks from across the room.

"I wouldn't miss seeing my hot, rocker boyfriend for anything. I can't believe this is the first one I'm going to," I say poutily.

"We aren't that big of a deal. It's just a few of us guys. We aren't The Beatles, but we like to play for crowds for fun."

"I'm sure you're great," I tell him as I make my way across the room.

James is sitting on his stupid over-sized bean bag chair as he plays one of his violent video games that guys seem to love.

His attention is on the screen, but quickly shifts when I lightly plop down onto his lap.

"Wanna make out," I ask in my most annoying imitation of a highschool girl.

"Let me pause-" he starts before I move my legs to straddle him.

It gets a little uncomfortable because I have to squirm to try and stay in place. The bean bag chair does not help the mood, but he doesn't seem to mind because he throws the controller onto the desk without his usual care for it.

I put my hands on his cheeks and lean down for a light kiss. He uses his tongue to show me he wants to take it to the next level, but I try to play hard to get. Instead of trying again, he somehow lifts us both off the chair, which for me is literally impossible because I get sucked into those things.

We plop onto the bed and kiss like we have forever. James is so gentle and sweet and it makes me want to be the best girlfriend in the world to him. At some point he gets a little frisky, which would usually make me stop. I'm no prude, but he does share this room with another guy that can walk in at any moment.

James eventually and reluctantly pulls away and falls to my side. We're both out of breath from the hot moment.

"Sorry if it got a little out of hand. I want to take it slow," he explains.

"I do too, but I feel like everytime we kiss, I don't want to take it slow," I confess with a small pout.

"We'll have our whole lives to do that, but I want to just enjoy kissing you for now," he says with a wink.

I chuckle at his little hint and snuggle closer to him.

"So, what are your holiday plans," I ask.

"Well, my family lives in Nevada so Care and I will probably go home for the break, how about you?"

"My family is going through a bit of a rough patch, so I'm not sure. I might go back for Christmas, but it's probably not the best thing for me to go there now," I say sadly.

"Good thing my mom has enough time to plan for an extra serving of everything," he replies.

"What do you mean?"

"You're coming with us. I'm not leaving you alone on the holiday break. Plus, now you can meet my crazy family," he says with a big smile.

"I couldn't impose on you like that," I sputter as he pulls his phone out.

"Too late. My mom said she is really excited to meet you!"

"Oh my god! James!"

"What? You get to hang out with me before midterms come up," he says as if it was the simplest thing in the world.
