Run!

Chapter 16

When I woke up in the morning, I got out of bed and got scared for a second. Where was Kaytie? I got up alarmed and I walked over to the kitchen. Kaytie was sat down eating eggs, 3 mini pancakes, and 2 sausages. When I saw who was cooking and taking care of her, it was Kylee. Avery was standing beside Kylee and wearing an apron.

I said "Hey,Good Morning!"

"Oh hey! I checked if Kaytie was awake and surely she was. So I just asked her if he wanted to eat and I didn't want to bother you. Oh and sorry for the part of alarming you."

"Oh yah it's ok and thanks for doing that."

"You're welcome!"

Kylee got some more plates out and started filling them with food.

"Do you need any help?" I asked.

"Oh no thank you I got it all under control."

"Ok."

I sat down next to Kaytie and she began to smile with food in her mouth and laughing.

"Kaytie don't do that! You need to learn your manners!"

Kaytie got a bit upset and then got really happy when Avery sat next to her.

Kylee sat next to me and set my plate in front of me.

"Thanks Kylee."

"No problem."

We began to eat and no one said a word except for Avery and Kaytie that kept giggling every time.

Then Kylee began to talk, "So do you like to hunt or play sports?"

"Well I didn't ever actually do sorts except run at school and do a bit of jumping jacks and that was all."

"Well my good friend, today you will learn how to hunt."

"Ok that sounds cool but are we going to be taking Avery and Kaytie?"

"No. This is too dangerous so like usual, we could leave them here and lock the door. Unless you don't want to?"

"Is the lock well secured?"

"Yes."

"Ok then let's go!" :D

I finished my food and washed the plate. Then I went and got ready. When I was done I told Kaytie that I was going to leave for just a bit and that she could have fun here with Avery.

"Okay mom."

I felt different. Not ever had Kaytie called me "mom".

"So are we ready to go? Kylee said. :D

"Yup lets go!" :D

When we got out, Kylee locked the door behind her. We went to the back of the cabin and there was a basement that was only going to be able to be seen when you stepped on the grass or moved it out of the way. Kylee opened the little glass door and got something out, a hunting gun.
