Horror ran through my mind. All I could think of was Kaytie. I turned around and the little girl was gone. She left a piece of paper with writing on it.
Kaytie ..Kaytie ..Kaytie ..Kaytie......... Soon will have her soul taken and ripped out of her body.
I tried to think what that could possibly mean...Until I thought it maybe meant that she was going to kill her. I walked out of the room and saw Avery sitting on the floor crying and hunched into her knees.
"What happened?",I said.
"Is she gone?",she muttered in a low voice.
"Who?",I said trying not to say in a scared voice.
"The little horrifying girl",I knew exactly about who she was talking about.
"It's ok",I said trying to act calm.
I guess for now on it was only Avery and I.
"Come on",I said trying to help Avery up.
She stood up wiping her tears away.I grabbed her hand.I slowly started walking down the stairs.Once the stairs steps were done we walked slowly.I got out the mini flashlight.We walked out of the kitchen and into the living room.I looked back.There was no one there.
I opened the door to walk out.We both stepped out.
"Did you find Kaytie?",Avery asked.
"No.She's no longer with us", I said.I don't notice I was crying until Avery wiped my tears away.
"Oh no!What happened?", Avery said.I saw her emotions that she was holding in by the look on her face, but she didn't want them to explode out.
"Nothing.",I said lying probably for the the 2nd time in my whole life.
We walked out of the passage way. The only place I could think of was, my house.
We walked back down to my house. I was about to knock on the door when I realized there was a sign.That read:
