For my first day at school(as joining a NEW school) was actually pretty good.I made some new friends and so did Avery. She always brought home a friend after school.I enjoyed my life now.My dad(Steve Shrey) was a great dad.He always encouraged me to get high grades. My mom(Megan Shrey) was an amazing cook and she loved Avery and I both alot. She always took us shopping to buy clothes. We lived happily all the time. There was no other children in the house except Avery and I.We were like spoiled little kids. My birthday was coming up in the next 2 weeks I would turn 15.I loved my life.I regret saying that I wanted to give my life away.I always remember of Kylee when I see Avery and then I remember Kaytie. She was so sweet. If only she were here too.
My Birthday...
I woke up cheerfully jumping on my bed.I ran out and went into the next room.I opened the door and ran on to Avery's bed.
"Hey guess what??!..Its my Birthday!!!"
I ran out and went into my mom and dad's room. They weren't there.I went down the stairs and opened my eyes wide open! There was a cake and cookies and cupcakes.I hugged them and thanked them.We ate the food and then we watched tv and laid down (it's Saturday). When I looked at my parents they were cuddling and sleeping.Even though they aren't my real parents they don't mind having Avery and I ,with different eye colors, different hair color. The only thing that mattered was that they loved us like their own.
So my new life was better.Better styles.Better education.I was 15.And Avery was 7.Her birthday was also coming up.I never saw her so happy for something. She was growing up fast too.She was the most advanced learner in her class.
I never heard anything back about my "Dad".
He wasn't the best dad but he still put something in,to help raise me.
I got off the couch to go get the mail.I woke Avery up and asked her to come with me.We both walked to the door.We stepped outside and and walked towards the mail. That the kid that rides a bicycle throws out every morning.
I opened the bag that was holding the mail.I opened it,and felt a chill run down my back.I looked again to make out the words clear.I was right.
"Local News"
If you see this man, please call 911!
He is accused of being a murderer.
I couldn't believe it.It was my "Dad".
I felt a rush of fear go down my spine.
I ripped it up and threw it in the trash.I walked back in inside with Avery.
I tried to forget what I saw.
My mom and dad got up and went to bed to rest.I went upstairs with Avery. We started playing a fake kitchen game. After 40 mins. of play my head started hurting, really bad.
"Mom!",I yelled.
"Yah!?",she yelled back.
"My head is hurting",I said back.
She came inside the room and checked my forehead for a fever.
"Nope. You don't have a fever.Do you want to go to the hospital?",she asked nervous.
"No.Its okay.",I said trying to say brave.
4 Hours Later...
My headache went away.I was calm now.I just wanted to take a nice warm nap.
Monday...
I woke up and got ready for school. When I was done I went down stairs to eat breakfast. When I was done my mom took Avery and I.
I got to school and went to see my friends. They were all in one group.
"Hey Skinny Twig!",my friend,Destiny said.
"Hey!",I replied.
"So what are you all up too?!",I said.
They all replied back, but I couldn't quite hear them. When the bell rang we all went inside our class and began learning. Most of the day went slow and boring.I wasn't paying attention until the teacher said,"Ok!Class is dismissed!".
I ran out of the classroom and met Avery with my Mom standing outside, in front of the school.
"So how was school?,My mom asked.
"I guess good and boring!",I said with a sense of humor.
"Ok then!Let's go home!"
I was brave for so many reasons......and now see where I stand....to get so far in life...
