We stopped running once we reached the rusted iron gates that stood firm in front of the old grey brick building. We all stared up at it. There were various colored lights shining through the windows of the multiple story building.

"Are you guys sure he's here?" Fred asked Brynn and Demetri.

"Pretty sure. Their scents were clear as day. Kat was right, he did want to lead us here." Brynn told him.

"The lock on this gate seems pretty old." Felix muttered as he ripped it off the gate. "Whoops, my bad!"

"It's alright Felix, we were going to have to rip it off anyway." I said.

"What should we do? Should we head in?" Katerina asked.

"It depends on if Old Man Morgynstein set up traps for us. You said so yourself, he was trying to lead us here, we can't take any chances."

"True, but I don't think he'll try anything just yet. I would worry about what happens when we get inside." A loud gasp emerged from the crowd.

"WOAH! Kat when did you get those tattoos?!" Andi asked. All down her arms, there we intricate black swirls wrapping around her. The swirls made her look like a goddess, ready for battle with an axe in her hand. Katerina shrieked when she noticed them.

"Oh my gosh! How long have these been there?! What the heck are they?!" She started rubbing at her skin as if to wash them off.

"It's fae markings. Often times, our goddess puts us through trials that test our strength and emotions. If she feels that we've passed with flying colors, she'll give a fae a mark to remind us of that time." Will told her smiling. "I've never seen a fae marked like this though! That is just cool! History in the making, kid!"

Just then, a thought struck me. Will is Alucard's son, which means that he's the heir to the fae throne. I let out a sigh of relief. It gave my mind some peace knowing that Katerina wasn't the heir, like I thought she was before. I wonder why we were never told about him. In all my time here, I've never heard anything about King Alucard having a son. But yet again, I have let my thoughts roam far from what was important now.

"What did I even do?" Katerina asked confused.

"I'm not sure, but we don't have time to worry about that right now. But you should feel proud of yourself Katerina. This is a great thing!" Alucard tried his best to sooth her, although she didn't look too convinced. Felix opened the gates and some of the fae guards pulled them back all the way. We walked forward. Katerina didn't move at first, but she took small steps.

"Are you alright?" I asked her. She jumped.

   "I'm fine."

"You don't have to lie, I'd be pretty scared as well if some higher being tattooed me without my knowledge and or permission. It's rather creepy. I haven't seen anything like your case before either. You're really something Katerina. Remember that when we're in here. You can do things that even you don't know about yet, and that Michael couldn't dream about. Don't let him take credit for the things that you discovered yourself." Jane told her, giving her hand a small squeeze.

"Thanks for that, I kind of needed a pep talk."

"One more thing before we go. No one is going to be able to do anything about what Michael has planned other than us. He's controlling this whole thing. Now, I'd like to believe you and Lorne know him the best. Is there anyway to predict what he'll do? Caleb's gift is going all crazy right now; the poor thing is trying too hard to see something. All he sees are flashes of red and then complete darkness."
