Chapter 13 - Miles Away

Yeah I know it's 3AM, but I got bored and haven't been updating this as much as I want to. SO THERE WILL BE 2 CHAPTERS OF THIS TODAY! YAY! The Next will be published MUCH later today xD

Hayley's POV

Tomorrow we would be leaving for New York for New Years, so we used today to relax.

It consisted of doing absolutely nothing all day except order room service and rent movies.

(time skip till next day.)

Hayley's POV

We packed up our bags and took a cab to the airport. Tomorrow was New Years, so we were all excited for it. We flew to New York, and got our hotel rooms, this time it wasn't a suite. I stayed with Kayla, Mitch with Jerome and Mat with Zak.

(time skip till New Years)

Hayley's POV

I sit in the room when I get a phone call from my dad.

"Hello?"

"Hey, I have some really good news! Funny that it's New Years and we are already getting good luck."

"What is it?"

"The University of California sent your acceptance letter. You were accepted!"

"C-California? Where?"

"Santa Barbara. You know, the college you and I wanted you to go to! Obviously you still have to complete one more year of high school, but this is exciting!"

"I...I don't want to be that far away from Mitch..." I mumbled.

"What?"

"N-Nothing." Tears already formed in my eyes.

"Okay, well I'll see you when you get back!" he hangs up and sends me a picture of the acceptance letter.

I walk into Mitch's hotel room, him and Jerome were on their phones.

"Mitch. I need to talk to you."

Jerome nods and gets up and walks out into Kayla's hotel room.

"What's up."

"My dad called...I got accepted into the University of California in Santa Barbara." I hand him my phone, showing him the picture.

He stared into it, with a blank expression on his face.

"California...wow...that's...amazing." he said still staring at the phone.

"No it isn't. I'll be 3,000 miles away from you. You promised you would never leave me...but now I have to leave you."

"Hayley listen, no matter where you go or where I go, we will always be together. It's only college. And hey, we still have a whole year ahead of us."

"I don't want to leave you." Tears were already running down in a stream down my face.

He cups his hands around my face, wiping the tears from under my eyes and pulls into his arms. "I don't want to hold you back from something that can be beneficial for you. I'll support you in any way you choose."

Jerome opens the door. "Sorry to interrupt but it's time to leave for Time Square."

I cheered up a bit, walking down to Times Square, Mitch and I hand in hand.

It got cold but it didn't bother me. I was with the people I loved the most, in the place to be tonight.

The ball began to drop at 11:59PM, the countdown begun.

"3...2...1...HAPPY NEW YEAR!"

We all cheered for the New Year as I look at Jerome and Kayla kissing. Mitch and I look at each other and kissed. We let go and laughed once we realized the camera was facing us.

The camera...

Then it hit me.

My family was back home watching this...

Shit.

I was dead. I knew it. My dad would kill us.

But did I care? Nope.

Because I have my amazing boyfriend right in front of me, holding me in his arms.

It's funny to think that a few months ago, I hated his existence in my life.

Now I couldn't live without it.
