Chapter 14 - Hope

Hayley's POV

I held hands with Mitch all through the night.

We all got back to the hotel around 3AM. I bribed Jerome to switch rooms with me for 50 bucks, which he agreed to swap.

I moved my stuff into Mitch's room, changing into my pajamas and laying next to him.

I pull out my phone to see 15 missed calls from my dad, and 4 texts from him.

I called him back and he immediately answered.

"Young lady, you are in so much trouble."

"For what? Spending time with my boyfriend and friends?"

"No, for breaking our rules." I hear my mom's voice, probably trying to convince my dad that it isn't a big deal, but then it fades.

"I'm sorry?"

"I knew something was up with you two in the lake. You guys had sex didn't you?!"

"Oh shut up."

"What happened to you? You changed! Hell I'm surprised you got into the university! Since now your focused on him rather than education!"

"Maybe I don't want to go!"

"You're going. And that's final."

I hung up my phone in anger. I didn't realize Mitch had moved closer to me, putting his arm around my waist. I began to cry, thinking of what would happen.

"Hayley...listen to me. I'm sorry you have to do this, but you have to do this for me. I will visit whenever I can, I promise."

"Yeah, right."

"We have more than 31,556,926 seconds, 525,949 minutes, 8,766 hours, or 365 days until you leave. I intend on spending that with you."

"How do you know all that?"

"Memorization. Learned it in 7th grade and my teacher drilled it into my head."

I laugh. "You know how difficult this will be?"

"We don't know until we try. Live in the moment, let's not think of next year. We just got into this year."

I look into his eyes. I play with his soft hair and smile. "You know how much I love you?"

"I'm guessing a lot."

"A lot more than a lot."

"That's cute."

"What can I say, I'm adorable."

He smiles and lays his head on my chest, wrapping his arm around me. I continue to play with his hair as he falls asleep, lightly snoring.

I couldn't sleep that night, I couldn't stop thinking of how far I would be from Mitch, from Kayla, Sierra, Nick.

Hell, I'll miss Jerome, Mat and Zak. Even though we been through a lot yet I don't know them as much, I'll miss them.

I'll miss recording with the ASF crew.

I didn't want to move. Mitch was so peaceful looking while he slept. I kissed his forehead and he smiled.

I began to think, I wish I didn't fall in love so quickly. Don't get me wrong, I love him and loved the time we have had together.

I just wish I didn't fall so hard, because it will be hard to leave him.

So I hoped that this will work out in the end.

(So, to keep this more interesting since ideas are running through my head, I'll time skip to May of Senior year :3)

Hayley's POV

"Hayley!" Kayla says screaming my name. "Come on, wake up! We have to get ready for Prom!"

I groaned and sat up. I was pretty excited for tonight. We were done with school and ready to live our lives.

I walk into Kayla's huge closet. She has a huge house since her family is rich.

She grabs her pink mermaid dress and pulls out my poofy blue gown.

"God I love the dress I designed you, it brings out your pretty blue eyes."

"The pink goes well with your skin tone. And the mermaid goes well with your figure."

"Cannot wait for Jerome to see me in this." She says and I laugh. Her and Jerome have been together for now a year, as well as Mitch and I.

"We should call Sierra to come over. Did you hear that she's going with Mat?" Kayla asks.

"How did I not know of this?!"

"I don't know! She didn't tell me, Jerome told me!"

"Get her over here!"

She dials Sierra's number and she comes over.

"What the hell?! You didn't say you were going with Mat?!"

She laughs as we all get ready. Sierra pulls on her yellow dress and get our hair and makeup done.

"When are they coming to get us?" Kayla asks.

"I texted Mat a few minutes ago, they are on their way."

Kayla screams with excitement. "I'm so excited!"

I laugh at her scream as we hear a car pull up.

Sierra runs out the door and pulls the boys in.

"You ready?" I ask Kayla.

"More than ever."
