Hayley's POV
As I was getting out of the detention room, Mitch grabs me by my wrists.
"Something came up...and...I can't see you tonight. Sorry."
"Oh, its no big deal I guess. I can hang out with Kayla or someone."
"Hey Hayley, maybe we can hang out?" Jerome asked appearing behind him.
"If you don't mind my friends being there. I haven't hung out with them in a while."
"I don't mind at all, they are pretty cool, I met them at the party, let's go."
I smile at Mitch, who had a nervous look on his face and his body showed it too. I ignored it and we walked outside to Mitch and Jerome's cars. I say goodbye to Mitch and get into Jerome's car.
"What time is it?"
"Like, 5."
"You wanna go out to eat? Us 5 can go somewhere."
"I don't mind." He puts the car in drive and pulls out of the parking lot.
We pick up Nick, Sierra and Kayla and drive to a restaurant.
The waitress seats us and hands us menus. She took our orders, while hitting on Nick and Jerome, but ended up ignored.
After eating, Kayla sees someone sitting in a booth across the restaurant, and her face turns white.
"What is it Kayla?"
"Nothing. I just saw someone."
"Who? I wanna see."
She mumbles something I couldn't hear but I ignore it. We pay the waitress and start to walk out of the restaurant.
I saw who she saw.
I felt sick.
"J-Jerome." I stutter causing his attention to look in my direction.
I saw what broke me again.
Mitch with another girl, in a booth, kissing.
