Chapter 2 - Understandings (Edited)
I entered the room the Moon Goddess spent most of her time in. As expected, she was sitting at the piano playing a sweet, melodic tune. She ended it as she felt me approach. She looked as beautiful as every other day. If you saw us You'd actually think she was my mother.
I'd always looked nothing like my "birth family." They all had curly, dark brown hair with darker skin than mine. They were also shorter than me (my sisters were) and had light green eyes. All of them. I, on the other hand, had straight, very light blonde, hair that people assumed I had bleached but either way was natural. I had a pale complexion with very dark brown eyes that were almost black.
Since the night the Moon Goddess had saved my life I had gone through a transformation. For one, I'd gotten taller.
When I'd left I'd been 5'2 but now I was a surprising 5'9, which I was pretty sure only happened to Luna's and got me worried until she'd reminded me of her plan and I'd realized it was okay.
My eyes had also darker and turned to a black like hers. My hair went just below my butt now. My glow up had hit hard, puberty slapping me in the face, my body's actually developed now. Childish, I know, but I didn't have practically anything before.
Not taking her eyes off the view out the window she said softly, "Hello Katia." Abandoning my basic and practiced manners, I rushed to her unable, to hold back. hugging her big frame, I cried her shoulder as she turned and hugged me too. I looked up to see a single tear escape the corner of her eye. I wiped it away and told her and told her just how much I appreciated her, burying my head into her shoulder again.
I pulled back after a while and smiled at her. She smiled back, that loving motherly smile I'd grown so used to.
"You've changed so much. Not only physically, but mentally. I remember all of the times when they had told you-you weren't beautiful," she said, referring to all the kids at my school including my sisters. "Those times when you'd stay quiet and let them hurt you. You're so much stronger than that.
"I remember when we started training, how you constantly told me you wouldn't get anywhere. And now you're the one knocking me on my ass," she chuckled lightly.
"And it's all thanks to you. You were the one person who believed in me-" I pause, "even when I didn't" I said, matching her smile.
She looked at the clock and her smile turned sad. "I'm meant to deliver you to your pack at 6:15 AM sharp and it's 5:30 AM right now, so, I was wondering if you'd like to have one last look around the Oasis again before I have to take you. . ." She trailed off, arching her brow at me in question. "We leave at 6:00 AM so that I can show you the rest of the packs on the way," she explained.
I nodded, pausing a few seconds before following her as I waited for her long dress tail to get out of reach of my clumsy feet. She took my arm, leading me through the big wooden doors to see the Oasis, my home, one more time.

We got back to my room at 5:53 AM to get my belongings so that I could take them with me to the pack house. The Moon Goddess took them and sent them ahead of us so that we didn't have to bring them ourselves.
The sound of our my especially enforced clothing stretching to accommodate my body could be here. The Mood Goddess had no necessity for reinforced clothes, her mystical robe knew how to deal with a wolf transformation. We finished shifting and took off toward the woods outside of the Oasis that led to the Mundane World.
