EMISON: Guilt

Couples Date Part 1

Pam, Layla, and Emily had some breakfast/ Lunch that late morning.

"I don't mean to bring the subject back but I'm glad to see you two in good terms" Pam mentioned as she cuts her sausage in pieces.

"I have to admit Pam I was scared but I did over react over everything" Layla apologized.
Pam smiled as she saw Layla grab Alison hand in the kitchen table.

Emily look at Layla hand on hers and would just picture the way Alison grabbed her hands a few times while having food with Pam. However Alison band was different. It was smaller, softer, at times a bit cold, but Emily made it warm.

Emily was quickly back brought to reality when Pam asked her a question.

"I'm sorry can you repeat?" Emily asked.

"I was just saying that I'm glad you can work things out, Layla is a wonderful girl simply by being humble enough to apologize for her reaction towards something she had a right to" Pam explained.

"Right. Layla and I talked about it and as much as I love that we are okay I don't want to ruin it by this conversation and topic all over again. Now if you excuse me I need to call Hanna and let her know Layla is back so we can have this couples date she wanted." Emily said almost using that as an excuse to exit Layla hand and breakfast with her mother and girlfriend.

Emily stared at her phone when she saw a text message from Alison.

Alison : everything ok?
Emily : we are perfectly fine thank you. I saw your package
Alison : about that, sorry. Hope you consider it. Have a good day.

"What did Hanna say?" Layla scared Emily.

"She has not relied yet" Emily lied.

"Couples date? We could really use that" Layla said as she wrapped her arms around Emily neck.
Then Layla spotted the package Alison gave Emily on Emily bed.
"So what was that about anyway?" Layla asked.
Emily looked towards the direction Layla was looking and realized she was talking about the package.
"It's a job offer for swim coaching here in rosewood." Emily responded.
Quickly Layla let go of Emily and turned around.
"Oh ... and you plan to take it?" She asked sitting on Emily bed.
"To be perfectly honest with you I haven't really read it correctly or put time into it" Emily responded after she realized Layla was a bit bothered by the idea.

"I don't think you have to read something properly to know what you want" Layla said.

"My life is in California it would need manny changes and arrangements I don't really want to think about what I want" Emily responded.

"Let me call Hanna and arrange that dinner" Emily finished as she dialed Hanna.

It was strange but Emily tried to automatically fix her relationship. It was not that she wanted to or didn't she just felt like she needed to keep Layla happy regardless if she was or not. Maybe it was the guilt rushing through her veins.

"It's set tonight is the night" Emily tells Layla.
Layla smiled. She was excited. She needed that reassurance that Emily would always present herself and her with Layla.

"Can't wait Layla" layla said as she smiled at Emily.

"Well I'm gonna take a shower so I could be ready in time dinner is at 5 but I want to make sure I can take a nap before we leave I am tired" Layla said.
Emily agreed. She on the other hand was not tired. She had an amazing sleep. After all Alison was in her arms.

Emily watched Layla go into the bathroom. The second Layla closed the bathroom door Emily threw herself back on the bed landing her head on the pillow.
She slowly closed her eyes as if she was asking the air to help her.
Flashbacks of Alison touches ran through her head.
She could still hear Alison moans next to her ear as Emily would make love to her.
Yes. Love. It wasn't an affair at least it didn't feel like one. It felt like Emily stood in one place but her mind and heart was in another.

After Layla had a nap. Emily showered and got ready for Hannah planned couples date. Layla was wearing a red casual dress and Emily put on some black jeans with a beautiful white top and leather jacket.

"Have I ever mentioned how great you look in leather jackets?" Layla asked.
Emily blushed as she looked herself in the mirror.
As she turned around to look at Layla she saw Alison as a illusion. She could see Alison saying that and Emily wanting to practically jump on her and kiss her. But Emily bounced back to reality and saw Layla smiling at her.

"Ready?" Emily asked.

"Ready" Layla Responded.
