Emily was at home watering the plants as Layla got a call from work.
"Ugh babe" Layla said.
"What's going on?" Emily asked.
"John just called me saying they need me in the office" Layla said.
"Now?" Emily asked
"In 2 days I guess a last minute inspection came up and they need me to make sure the bank funds are properly arranged and also that the investments donors have a copy of the last profits made" Layla takes a breath.
"Will take the next flight tomorrow then" Emily said.
"No babe, Hanna event is coming up and I honestly think you should stay with your mom. Let me just handle that and ill try to come back as soon as I can" Layla said.
"Are you sure Layla I can come with you and we can come to Rosewood some other time" Emily suggests.
"Sweet heart really, your mom hasn't seen you in months and she's lonely" Layla said.
"You're right" Emily said.
Emily grabbed Layla hand in a thankful and understandable way.
