Chapter Thirteen

Draco was awoken on Christmas Day by Hermione jumping all over him. "Wake up Draco." She said excitedly. Draco groaned and Hermione replied by saying or more like screaming. "IT'S CHRISTMASSSSSSS." In the style of Slade. Draco groaned again and looked at her "Isn't that a muggle singer?" he asked. Hermione nodded "Yes and get used to it because you'll be hearing a lot of muggle songs this morning." She said excitedly. Draco smiled at his girlfriend and then smirked "It's the holiday season but I still haven't gotten a good morning kiss." He smirked, making a kissing face. Hermione just pushed his face away from her "That's cheesy. No kisses for you Mr Malfoy" Hermione smirked before jumping out of bed to get ready.

After the couple had finished getting dressed into Christmas jumpers, a tradition for the Granger house, they walked down to join Hermione's parents who were already sat in the living room waiting for the couple. Draco wasn't sure of his opinion on the Christmas Jumper but he put it on because he wanted to try and fit in with Hermione's family because after all, he was becoming their son-in-law in April. He kinda liked it after he put it on but he was still a bit undecided.

"Hello lovebirds." Roger smiled, seeing the two teenagers. Hermione turned a little red but Draco smiled and shook his hand. "Now Draco we had no idea what we could get you because we don't really know much about what you like so we just thought we would get you this." Amanda spoke as she handed Draco a gift that was wrapped to perfection. Draco smiled. "You didn't have to-" But he was cut off. "Of course we do Draco, you're marrying our daughter after all." Amanda smiled.

Draco opened the gift and instantly started to smile. Inside the box were a lot of muggle foods and sweet. "Wow." He grinned. "This is amazing. So much stuff I have never tried before. Skittles!" He exclaimed excitedly which made Hermione laugh "You're marrying a muggleborn. You have to know all these things. Most of them are my favourites." She said as she looked into the box. Roger nodded "We thought we would get stuff that Mione likes that way if you don't like something, she can have it." He explained and Draco thanked them.

Hermione's turn to smile was when she opened her first gift from Draco. Inside was a long beautiful dress. "Draco, this is beautiful." Hermione said in shock. "How..." She just said and he smiled. "My mother's winter wonderland party is coming up. I thought that it would be nice if me and you went with a matching tie and dress. I'm wearing a white suit with a golden tie so I asked for mother's help in getting this dress." He admitted. Hermione grinned "I would love to wear this at the party." She said before placing a kiss on his head. It was so perfect. A few more gifts included some jewelry and other cute things. Her parents gave her some money as well as other things such as clothes and sweets.

"Draco dear?" Amanda called from the kitchen a few hours later. The four were preparing to go to the manor for their christmas dinner. Hermione was freaking out about the whole thing and so were her parents. Draco walked into the kitchen to see Amanda stood with chocolates. "What type of these will your mother like? I want to give her something." She freaked out. Draco walked over "She does but you need to calm down. She's going to love no matter what you get her. She's going to love the company. I'm sure you and her will get along extremely well." He assured her. Amanda nodded and grabbed some chocolates, putting them into a gift bag that already had some wine in. Draco smiled at that. It was one of his mother's favourite brands of muggle wine.

The four apparated to a space just outside the manor and as soon as they did, Hermione's parent's mouths dropped to the floor. "Whoa." They both said as they looked at the size of the manor. "Welcome to Malfoy Manor." Draco said to them. Roger nodded "Yeah this is a manor." He said sounding shocked "You've lived here your whole life?" He asked the blonde boy who held his daughter's hand. Draco nodded "This house has been in my family for centuries. The first Malfoy's bought the field this house is on over 400 years ago. Of course it has been extended and modernised over the years." He said, sounding like he was a tour guide. The all walked in and Hermione was confused. "I thought the gates were enchanted." She asked. Draco nodded "We took the enchantment off after the war. Now anyone can cross thought but it does set off an alarm inside the house. Mother will know we're here now."
