'Saving King' is an ongoing teen fiction novel by Kayleereynolds that is (so far) consistently in the P.O.V of Highschool senior, Freya Brookes.
Positives: The writing was clear and I understood what was going on in the story. I wasn't ever confused with the happenings of the story. There were illustrative descriptions that helped the flow of the story.
Negatives: I'm not going to beat around the bush and not come right out and say that your story was VERY cliche. Typical good girl meets Stereotypical bad boy through a series of exaggerated events that are VERY convenient. A hapless best friend, creepy teacher, overprotective/hypocritical family, etc etc.
Grammar/Punctuation: Minimal errors but occasionally there were typos or fragmented sentences.
Characters: Fairly cliche and/or lacked personality/reasons for doing the things they did. I didn't get a good personality reading on the main character, she kind of just kept switching back and forth from 'good girl' to 'sarcastic (but not really) wannabe bitch'. The best friend, well, I forgot her name... Ryan King was the epitome of cliche bad boy-ness. Yes, I understand the bad boy/good girl complex, but in this case it wasn't very realistic...although there are only five chapters so it's hard to tell.
Dialogue: Typically strong, practical and lifelike. Sometimes the characters went a little out of character, but this can be fixed by just rereading a story and changing a few key words.
Authors voice: Pragmatic, but a little boring/dragging, lacked enthusiasm.
