Selene was hoping that the pale man would get what she meant. She was directly threatening him and as he was her only hope she didn't want to threaten him. She wanted him to agree to her without any hesitation tomorrow keeping in mind that how much ever he hates her she is a goddess and can cause a lot of destruction when wanting to. She went to Endymion's cave and sat beside him like usual. But this time she was not blabbering about what the pale boy did today. This time she simply held onto the small hope of ever waking her lover up and watching those beautiful blue eyes once. All she wanted was to witness those enchanting blue eyes and see life in them. See love and respect for her in them. She had waited so long, she only had to wait for some time more before Endymion wakes up and realises his love for her.
As Selene slept with her head on her lovers chest Endymion's dreams had changed a little. Now he didn't see the fair lady in white with olive leaves has her crown. Now what he saw tore his heart. Now he saw a lady with a distant and gloomy look on her face with a dark black gown. Like the ones one would wear to a funeral. He often saw a tear stream down her beautiful face. He even saw the lady snap and tear her hair in frustration. But all he could do was watch. All he could do was bear the pain as the lady he fell in love with cried herself to sleep and bleed herself by scratching. He didn't know what he had done to bear all this pain. He knew that the pain felt by the lady was ten fold when he felt it and it was concentrated at only one part. His heart. Every tear that left the fair lady's eyes was like a sharp piece of glass in his heart. Every time the lady tore her hair in defeat Endymion felt as if she was tearing his heart out of his chest while he saw himself bleed. These dreams continued for a long time. It felt like years had past with Endymion bearing this pain. He had never wished for waking up but now he could do anything to wake up from this horrible nightmare.
After a long time when these dreams stopped what he saw was not like the dreams he used to see but a little better than his nightmares. The beautiful lady had stopped crying and was again looking up to the moon at nights. During the day when she looked upto the sun her skin shone like a diamond and her tear stained face would look healthy and vibrant. It was as if this heavenly creature was coming out of the dark and was finally facing the world with a smile on her face. However small that smile seemed it cured the cuts in Endymion's heart caused by those glass like tears. He felt like the burden of the whole world was on his shoulders and he was crushing under it but when he saw the smile on the lady's face the burden of the world just felt like a feather. He knew at that time that he could do anything for this heavenly creature. He could kill or he could nurture anything the lady demanded to. At that time he knew what love really was and he was completely under its spell. He was completely the fair lady's. Whatever she did with him, even if she tortured him he would accept it with a smile on his face.
The sun rose from its hiding place behind the trees and the hill. It poured its sunlight on the forever asleep Endymion and his lover as a blessing, as a protection from all the things they had gone through. Selene opened her eyes slowly and saw that it was day. She had never slept all through the night with Endymion and now after being far from him for so long she had spent the whole night listening to his heart thump. She smiled upon looking at his peaceful face which didn't have the frown it did earlier. She leaned forward and placed a small kiss on his lips. She then made herself presentable for she was going to meet the pale man again. She hadn't thought what she might do if he refused. The thought that her only hope will refuse to help her made her very angry and very sad at the same time. Selene had not yet tortured anybody to help her and had only pleaded. And plead she will if she has to. But she also kept in mind she will be dangerous if she has to.
