Selene had lost the track of time and had drained her power so much that she had fallen asleep. In her sleep she could feel as if a force was working in her favour and she felt a gentle breeze on her face. Selene ignored it as a dream and curled into herself. She now heard the sounds of nature. The sound of the birds chirping far away and the sound of grass swaying with the wind. She opened her eyes gently and after ten years she saw a colour other than black. She saw the big oak tree under which she lay. The green grass surrounding her. The dip of the hill she had walked up on ten years ago. Realising that she was finally free. She stood up. Fixing her hair and clothes she ran in her mortal form to the only person who ruled her dreams. She entered the cave and found Endymion sleeping soundlessly on the ground. He looked the way he had looked ten years ago. The only difference that Selene could find on the fair Endymion was the frown on his face. It had been ages since Selene had seen an expression on his face. She rushed to his side and knelt beside him. She leaned and placed a soft kiss on his head. Endymion's frown vanished almost instantly and she smiled to herself. She had waited too long to see those beautiful blue eyes. Her patience was almost lost and she wished to find the pale boy old enough to help her.
After spending most of the day beside her sweet Endymion she rushed to the village to meet the boy with night sky eyes. She entered the village only to see it completely changed.
What once were small two storey buildings were now fifty floor skyscrapers. What once was a small lake, now had become a pond with a statue in between. What once were streets with families laughing and going around now had been filled with people not bothering to glance at each other. Selene walked to the house where the pale boy had lived only to find it burnt. What once was a happy house now was a pile of ash. She walked closer to it and could see the crumpled bed on which the pale boy slept. The broken and burnt table on which the pale boy ate. The house that once was the residing place for the key to her eternal life had now become a pile of ash. She looked around helplessly to find the pale boy with night sky eyes but didn't spot anyone. Worried Selene went into the now developed village and searched for the boy. She couldn't see him anywhere. The sun had almost hidden itself in the mountain peaks and the street lights were starting to glow. Selene was getting weird looks for her attire and she went into a shop to change into different clothes and ask for the pale boy.
" Welcome madam. How may we help you? "
A petite woman came and asked Selene. She wore a yellow sweater with a black pencil skirt. She looked like the staff of the shop Selene was in. The woman also had a batch on her sweater which read Chelsea.
" Hello Chelsea, I would like to change my present appearance really quickly. "
Selene said trying to hide her panting breath.
" Sure. Please follow me. "
The woman led her to the back of the store. This part had all the casual wear which seemed very uncomfortable to Selene. Chelsea removes a jeans and a top with England's flag on it and handed it to Selene. She took it with a small smile and went to change in the changing room.
Selene came out wearing the clothes and smiled to herself as she didn't look that bad in modern clothes.
" Thanks a lot Chelsea. Could you help me with one more thing please? "
" Anything madam. "
" Could you tell me about the burnt house in the end of the vill...city. "
Selene said hoping for the sweet lady to answer as nobody else would tell her anything.
" Oh my lord. Tragedy. Sad. So sad. The parents of the small boy who lived their died. And later on his house gave way to flames. Poor poor boy. "
" Could you tell me where this boy is now? "
