Dressed in a navy blue suit, Christian made his way into the waiting room of the directors office, smiled at Kate, and took a seat. He was a few minutes early, but was excited to know more about the case he's being assigned too. Kate waved over at him excitedly. She'd been getting close to his older brother for quiet sometime and had a feeling she'd become part of the family soon. Elliot was head over heels for her.
The intercoms blared loudly as the directors voice came through. "Is Special Agent Grey here?"
"Yes, director, he's here. Just arrived a few minutes ago."
"All right, send him in." The intercom cut off with aloud static and Kate looked up at me. "The director will see you know, Christian."
Nodding, Christian stood up, smoothed down the jacket and his pants, checking his tripped tie, before making his way toward the directors office. When he reached the door, he reached for the knob, turned it, and opened the door, walking inside.
The director was at his desk looking through a file folder as Christian walked towards him. Kate quickly shut the door behind him. It wasn't that long ago Christian had been at the directors office. It was a few weeks ago when he discovered the intel that would ultimately change things for him, though he did not know at that time now much.
As Christian stood quietly in front of the directors desk, he glanced around the room. There were a lot of dark wood shelves and cabinets making it seem dark and dreary even with the wall of windows.
Ah yes," The director finally noticed. "Take a seat."
Nodding, Christian sat down in the chair next to it. It was old word craftsmanship, sturdy, decorative, and very comfortable. It was the kind that matched the rest of the rooms and it's decor.
"It's good to see you, Grey." The director was in his mid to late fifties, handsome in his dark suits, had his hair shaved like a gunny from the marines, very fit, and always got alone with people, but he was also a no nonsense kind of guy.
"Good to see you too, Director Robinson."
"As you know, the president and I have been impressed with your work and have had our eyes on you for awhile. We see a lot potential and possibilities with you. You will go far."
"Well thank you, sir."
Director Robinson nodded back as if to say 'you're welcome.' "On to the mission at hand." He handed the file over to Christian to peruse. "The unsub is Jose Rodriquez. Normally he wouldn't even be on the radar for what he's down. Bottom of the feeder stuff, but the gang he is with is known for funneling money to splinter group of Isis."
"What we need you to do is get close to him, make friends with him, get to know him, find out what he knows, and how the organization works, what they do, now they do it,and how their funneling works. Everything you can find." The director handed him another file folder. "This is a court order for wire tapping and whatever else you need. If our hunch is right, we can take this group out; it will be a major blow to the splinter cell and to Isis."
Looking over both files quickly, Christian nodded, and said, "I will do my best, sir." He gave a quick smile and stood. "I won't let you down."
"See to it you don't!"
"Thank you, sir." Christian held out his hand to the director.
Both men shook hands. It was a lot and so much was riding on what kind of intel Christian was going to get.

The next day was dull and dreary with all the rain and no sun in sight, Christian found himself driving in the neighbor where Rodriquez lived. It was nice and very upscale. The houses were small toward the front and larger to the back, all different colors, shapes and sizes.
Rodriquez' house was at the end of the street. It was blue and white trim two story house. It was very nice. The house next to it looked vacant. It was one story with a fake toret in the front win a brick facade. Christian pulled his cell out, dialed the number from the sign, and had to leave a message.
"This is Montgomery Chase. I'm interested in your house on Manchester Boulevard. I can pay cash. Number is 555-4455. Please call ASAP. Thanks." He ended the call and tossed the phone to the other seat.
Within minutes, the phone rang, and Christian reached over for phone, grabbed it, and answered it.
"Hello. Great I'll be waiting." The call ended and Christian set the phone down once again.
Twenty minutes later, the rent was paid, and lease was paid up in full. With keys in hand, Christian walked up the windy sidewalk up to the door, stuck to key in the locked and turned it. The door opened and he stepped in. The hallway was twice as long as his whole apartment. As he shut the door, he noticed the open concept layout and the bedrooms were all on the right. It was perfect. Now it just needed to be lived in.
As he locked up and headed for his car, Christian saw a motorcycle being driven up the Rodriquez driveway. It was time to make new "friends".
"Hello." Christian said as he made his way over to Rodriquez.
Rodriquez was average height and wage, dark hair, dark eyes, dressed in jeans and a teeshirt. Christin saw all the tattoos lining Rodriquez's arm.
"I just rented the place next door. I'm Montgomery Chase."
"Jose Rodriquez."
The men shook hands.
"Jose, nice to meet you. So...what is there to do in this area?" Christian was making small talk.
"Come inside for a beer and we can talk about it."
"Great."
Christian followed the unsub through the garage and into the house. He was sure this was a test to see if there could be trust between them.
