The two runaways had been driving for hours trying to avoid their pursuers. It didn't seem like they'd ever going to loose them, but Ana weaved her way through traffic driving as as fast and fast as she could go without attracting attention. She turned turned off the highway nearly clipped a car on her way off the expressway. They were far away from the city and anyone else. It the middle of nowhere with only trees surrounding them on an old, dark road that was hardly ever used since the expressway.

It was quiet, desolate. Every so often, Ana would see the deer cross the road. There was no town insight. She glanced at Christian, he was pale looking, weak after having lost a lot of blood. His head leaned against the window, his breath fogging up the window.

"Hang on Chase!"

Christian grunted something unintelligible out and moved a bit to get comfortable, but the shocked him as the pain went all through his body. The pain so great, he passed out.

Sighing, Ana, continued on her way. If she had the proper medical supplies and tools, she'd take care of him right now. Knowing that he was hanging on, helped her to keep going. If they stopped for any reason, even to eat, was a chance they'd get caught. But the question is who and what are we running from? Why are we running? Who is he? Is he a friend of my brother? Is he working for my brother? Did my brother do this?

Ana didn't know there were so many questions floating around in her mind. She had had a moment to think these through. It was flee or be killed. Survival of the fittest. Something she learned from her brother.

The brunette passed a signed that said Howell Lodge straight ahead, but Ana thought it said closed. She decided to check it out anywhere. It was place for tonight and a place she could look him over.

The driveway was on the right Ana could see. She made her turn. The gates were open to her surprise. Could the lodge be open? She'd find out the further she drove down the long drive. They were still amongst the trees, wild animals all around, making themselves known.

Soon she came upon a large building nestled amongst the tress. It was dark, but she could make out the shape, but nothing else about it. Ana glanced around, she saw grass for miles but little white cabins dotting the landscape. She noticed one about 500 feet to the right of them. It was bigger than other ones with a large garage and a lake as the backdropped. The moon cascading down on the water, giving it beautiful glow. The trees masked it enough that anyone would assume it was empty.

"Chase..."

There was no answer, but Ana could see his chest rising and falling each time. She drove up to the cabin. She parked the SUV in front of the garage, leaving the it running, and removed her seatbelt.

"I'll be right back, Chase." Ana placed her on on his shoulder, then she turned to open the door, and hoped out to look around to investigate. She soon discovered they were alone out there, but went up the cabin to look inside.

It was empty too. It wasn't much; a small living room with a fireplace, a small galley kitchen to the back, and to the left she gathered was the bedroom and bathroom. It hadn't looked lived in awhile. As Ana turned to go back out, she flipped the switch, and to her surprise, the electric still worked.

Ana made her way back outside to the SUV, opened the passengers side door, and reached around Christian to remove the seat belt. "Chase...I need you to help me. Please wake up. This won't work unless you help me."
