Two little shy boys, one red haired, the other dark haired, played at opposite ends of the sandbox while the other kids their ages laughed and played, ran, swung on the swing. Not these two little boys. They were content playing with their trucks in the sand, making the little room room sounds a car made. Their parents looked on thinking aww that's cute.

These boys longed to meet others, but no matter what they did, they could not get passed those their shyness.

One day, the dark haired boy, Christian Grey, happened to glance over at the other boy, watching him play. Of course they were aware of each other; they were envious of each other's toys. Christian had the bigger, more expensive toy, while the red head had the smaller toys, but sometimes he would bring his best toys; the ones Christian wanted.

The red headed boy seemed a little bit bigger than he, but Christian sensed how sad the boy looked. Christian wanted to make friends with him and play with those toys. Pushing himself up, picked up his truck, and wobbled his way through the sand to the other child.

"Hi..." came Christians shaky voice. "Wanna play?" He smiled as he held up his truck.

"Hi," the red headed boy looked up at Christian, surprised someone was talking to him.

"Cool." The red head said excitedly. "I'm Jackie."

"I'm Christian, but you can call me Chris."

The little boys became instant best friends. They did everything together and we're inseparable. Went to the same schools. Had the same set of friends. Even dated their girlfriend's friends.

Though Jackie became jealous of Christian over the years. Christian was damn near good at everything and Jackie was mediocre at best, even failing a year and having to retake it. Jackie wasted his time being jealous that he could have spent it improving himself.

The golden boy, as Christian was so often called by the staff and students at his high school, applied to all the best colleges, and of course, he got in everyone of them, but Jackie did not get into those schools. He knew he couldn't unless he buckled down and worked his ass off. To do that, he needed Christian to help him.

Jackie managed to talk Christian into one semester at the local college, and then they'd both transfer to the college of Christian's choice after that. Feeling bad about his friends choices. Christian agreed to help his friend, though his parents were not happy about his decision but understood.

The two best friends moved into an off campus apartment. It was cheep, more like it was a Hovel, and falling apart, but it was home. They didn't spent much time there anyway what with them always in class or at the library. Jackie studied English while Christian took business courses. His dad wanted to be the one who took over the family business. Having that background meant a great deal, but Christian wanted more. How much and what, he didn't know her.

Christian and Jackie both worked hard in their classes and passing each one, though Christian ended up on the deans list more than once. Jackie only a few strikes. When their semester ended, they transferred to the college Christian wanted. New York University.

While there, Christian decided on a major change. He wanted to be a lawyer. He wanted to help people thought this was the best way.

Four years later, both men graduated at the top of their classes, with Christian as valedictorian and popular as ever. In that time, Jackie's jealousy had grown to historical heights, but he kept it in check, Christian was his best bud, and he couldn't let him down.

At their graduation, Christian had been approached by the CIA. He was told he'd been watched for the four years and they were impressed him over all, and asked him to join. In other words, he had something they needed and wanted, and Christian was all for it. It meant he'd be helping people on a grand scale. Jackie hand was not impressed, but he decided to apply for the CIA come hell or high water. He'd show them he was good, if not better, than Christian.
