I was sitting in my room looking at old pictures of me and my ex-bestfriend Jessie. My name is Jacob but my friends call me Princeton, or Prince for short. We were bestfriends until I got a girlfriend. After that we drifted apart. Okay, I understand I blew her off a few times for Mia but I never knew it would end up like this. I always noticed how mad or irritated she got when Mia came around.But most of the time I just forgot about it. Until that day when we just stopped talking. I had a feeling this had something to do with Mia. I don’t even know how we got to this point but now we hate each other. I’m still with Mia but I’m wondering if she was worth losing my bestfriend. My bestfriends that I’ve know since diapers. I pull out of picture of us in the tub together. I smiled st the sight of us splashing water and bubbles on each other. That has to be one of the happiest moments I’ve had with her. Hell, one of the happiest moment of MY LIFE.
My thoughts were interupted by my bestfriend, Ray.
Ray: Prince! AYO PRINCE!!
Prince: What man?
Ray: Whats wrong with you bro? You said you went to get your g-shock like a hour ago.
He glanced down at the pictures all over my bed and then at the picture in my hands.
Ray: ohhh, that’s why.
We all used to be bestfriends. Me, Jessie, Ray and my 2 other bestfriends Roc and Prod. They are all stil kinda mad at me cause they think I helped drive her away. But mostly Ray cause he had a crush on her. Ever since we stopped talking to each other, she stopped talking to them too.
Ray: Dude I know you miss her. Shit, we all miss her. (mumbling) mostly me though.
Prince: Man I don’t miss that bitch.She brought this upon herself. How is my fault she stopped talking to us?
Ray: Its your fault and that slut you call a girlfriend’s fault.
Prince: Aye she aint no slut!
Ray: Nigga calm down.
Prince: My fault.
I could tell he was getting alittle more pissed by the second.
Ray: Yeah your fault. (mumbling) Everything is.
He walked out and I took one last look at the picture. I sighed and put all the pictures away. I went down stairs and saw Ray on the couch zoned out. I can tell he was thinking about her. Roc and Prod used to have a crush on her too, but I guess they moved on. They miss her though.
Prod: Aye yall im bout to head out we got school 2morrow.
Roc and Ray: Me too.
Prince: Aight, peace.
We all did the guy handshake and they left. I looked at my watch and it said 9:00. I knew my mom was working late tonight, and me and the guys ordered Pizza earlier so I was straight. All I wanted to do was go to sleep. I hoped in the shower and when I got out I looked in the mirror. I looked so….diffrent. My eyes used to be a bluish brownish color. But now they kind of faded. This girl was really taking a toll on me. And the worst part is we all go to the same school. This should be fun. At the moment I finally got in to bed my phone started ringing. I looked over and saw I had a text. And it was from…Mia. Of course. I really didn’t want ti deal with her right now. The text said: "Heyy Babe!! Gudnite! Don’t let the bedbugs bite! J I couldn’t help but smile at the text. I don’t know what everybody keeps talking about that shes a slut. Okay she wears revealing clothes and takes all my money. Shes just expressing herself, right?.... SHIT!! IM SO FUCKING DELUSIONAL!! UGH!! Fuck it I’m going to sleep. Goodnight.
