Shawn's P.O.V:
I just walked out of the recording studio. I got here about 9 o clock and it's noon right now. I'm going to get lunch with a new assistant. Her name is Janet. "I can drive." I offer.

"No, no. It's fine. Besides I'm an assistant." I get into her passenger side. She drove a small black Jetta 2006.

"I like your car."

"Thanks." she smiled. We started driving.

"You ever heard any of my music?"

"Duh. I love it. I follow you on like all social media."

"Really?" I ask laughing

"Yah." she says laughing. "I used to have a crush on you."

"Used to?" I ask smiling.

"When I found out you were gay it broke my heart. I just had to move on." She fake cries, then laughs.

"Very funny." I say.

"How's Cameron doing by the way?"

"He's great. We've never been more in love."

"How's the relationship?" She was a very open and out front person.

"It's great. I've never been so in love."

"You guys ever, you know." She nudges me.

"What?" I say confused. I had no idea what she was talking about.

"Are you guys ever gonna get married?" Oh.

"Um, I don't really no how to respond. I mean I love him and I want to marry him but I don't know if we're ready." The truth is I've always wanted us to get married. I think about it all the time. Walking down the isle together, both in our tuxedos. He would look so cute.

"Are you sure that's it Shawn?" She was really making me think.

"I don't know. I guess I just always imagined him asking me." And I did. I guess I could propose to him. But what if he said no? What if he didn't want that. Why had we never talked about this before?

"Shawn if you want to get married then you owe it to yourself and to him to ask. Love has no limits. For all you know the world could end tomorrow and you'd never get to see him again." She's right. I love Cameron. And I know he loves me. I'm going to propose. He's gonna love.

"Janet were not going to eat lunch."

"Where are we going then?"

"We're going to buy a ring. I want to ask Cameron to marry me." She slams on the break.

"Yayyy!" she yells. "I'm so excited. I know the perfect place to buy a ring. I'm so happy for you Shawn."

"Thanks."

"Do you know when you're gonna ask him yet?"

"I don't know. I think it should be romantic though."

"It doesn't have to be in a big public place. It could be just the two of you, alone." She winks at me then laughs. She's right. I could just leave a trail of rose pedals to the bedroom. Have candles lit. Cook us dinner. Eat out on the patio. And propose.

"I love Cameron so much." I say out loud thinking about my plans. I'm so excited. I'm so excited I think I'm gonna do it tonight.

"Ok this is it." We pull into a jewelry store. We walk inside and start looking at rings.

"Hi my name is Shawn. I'm looking for a ring to propose to my boyfriend."

"Aww, follow me. I have some lovely ones over here." I follow behind her. "What's the price range going to be?" I don't even care about the price. I just want it to look perfect for Cameron.

"There isn't one." I say smiling. I had millions of dollars in my bank account. I could spend some money buying the love of my life a ring. Especially for this occasion.

"So you want to buy the engagement ring and wedding ring today?" she asks.

"I think I wanna buy the engagement ring right now and the wedding rings when we're together."

"That's fine." I begin browsing through the rings.

"Oh I like this one!" Janet says, pointing to a small silver one.

"It's ok." I say. It wasn't the right ring for Cameron though. That's when my eyes spit the most gorgeous ring I've ever seen. It's silver colored and has one round diamond on the top. It has a line of gold running through the center. "How much is this ring?" I ask the lady working.

"Let me see." She walks over and identifies the ring. "It's a little over $5,000."

"I think that's the one I want."

"It's made out of white gold, gold, and silver. The diamond is 2.5 carrots."

"It's perfect." I walk back to the check out area.

"What size ring do you need?"

"I don't know actually." Who could I call that knows his ring size? His mom! I should tell her my plans anyways. "I'm gonna make a quick phone call, just one moment." I say.

"That's perfectly fine." I call Gina and wait for her to answer.

"Hello Shawn?" she says.

"Hey Gina."

"What'd you call for."

"Are you with Cameron right now?"

"No I'm home alone, is everything ok?"

"Yes everything is fine Gina. I just need to ask a question."

"Ok, go ahead."

"Do you know what ring size Cameron is?"

"I do. Why?"

"Well Gina in buying an engagement ring. I'm going to propose tonight." I expect to hear screaming or excitement. All I hear is laughing.

"Are you sure Shawn?" she says laughing still. Why is she laughing? Does she think it's stupid.

"Do you think it's stupid Gina?" I feel my heart beating faster. She instantly stops laughing.

"Shawn no no. You don't understand. Just wait for tonight, you'll laugh too."

"Laugh about what?!"

"Nothing, nothing. You'll find out soon."

"Gina you're scaring me."

"Don't be scared Shawn. You two love each other, I can't wait to hear what he says. And his ring size is 8 by the way."

"Ok. Could you also do me a favor? I wanna get the apartment set up with rose pedals and food and candles so could you distract Cameron for a few hours? From like 4 to 8?"

"Of course Shawn. I'm so excited."

"Thank you Gina."

"Bye Shawn."

"Bye." I hang up and purchase the ring. She has it fit to a size 8 and we leave the store. Janet and I go get lunch then return to the studio. I gotta be home by 4.  I'm gonna ask him to marry me. And everything has to be perfect.
