Chapter 19: Confinding In Nash

Shawn's P.O.V:

The warm glow of the sun beams coming through my window wake me up. I reach my hand out to grab my phone. It's not on my bedside table. I get up and start looking for it. I make my way to the kitchen and see it sitting on the bar. I wander if Cam texted me? I know I shouldn't be thinking about him but I just couldn't help it. All I have are notifications from fans. I didn't know if I should feel sad or not care at all. I mean, I know he broke up with me. Why am I expecting him to text me? I start making breakfast and soon Josh wakes up. "Good morning Shawn."

"Morning Josh." He rubbed his eyes and stretched his arms. It reminded me of Cameron.

"Wutcha doing today?"

"I think I have a photo shoot around noon. I'll have to check my calendar though."

"Cool." He made his way over, and took a seat at the bar. "So I was thinking."

"About?" I say laughing a little.

"Would you mind if I stayed here for a few days?" Was he really asking me this? What should I say.

"I don't know Josh. I kind of just went through a bad break up."

"Exactly, you'll have someone here for you." That is true.

"Fine, but under a few conditions. Number One, we are not a thing." I was speaking the truth. I wasn't ready to move on from Cameron yet. "Number two, please don't bring people here. And rule number three, don't touch my stuff." It all came out very nice, I was just making sure he understood this is my apartment and what I say goes.

"Fine." he says laughing.

"What are you gonna do all day?"

"I just have a few people to see. Some errands to run."

"Oh, cool. I'm gonna get ready and go to my friends house. I need to talk to him about some stuff."

"About you and Cameron?"

"Yah." I say laughing. I needed to talk to Nash. "I really hope Cameron isn't there."

"Well if he is, just leave. Or just ignore him. Don't talk to him at all."

"Why?"

"Do I not need to remind you that he broke up with you. Over a phone call!"

"I know, but I sill have to be nice. We're in the same friend group. It's bound to happen. Besides my parents taught me to always be nice to mean people. It's because they need it the most."

"Ok Shawn, I'm just trying to protect you."

"Thanks Josh." He clearly has feelings for me. I feel bad too. I just wish I didn't love Cameron so I could love someone like Josh. He's so nice and sweet. Why can't my heart just move on.

I knock on Nash's door. After about a minute he answers. "Hey Shawn! What's up man." He pulls me into a hug.

"I need to talk to you."

"Oh. About you and Cam?" he asks questionably.

"Yes."

"Come in." I walk in and take a seat on his couch. "So what do you need to talk to me about?"

"About us breaking up of course." He spit out the water he had just taken a drink of.

"You guys broke up?!"

"Yah, he didn't tell you?"

"No. I thought he wanted to work things out with you."
