The next day, I woke up pretty early (but I wasn't able to sleep anyway) and I went to the bathroom to fix myself up.
Knock! knock!
"You're up early sis. Good morning!" Noa appeared like a mushroom at my back.
"You scared me, Noa! You're up early too. Good morning Noa."
"Well mom woke me up because mom and dad left a while ago for another business trip"
"I see"
"Is something wrong with you sis? I can feel you're different today" Noa's reflection on the mirror tells me he's worried.
"What makes you say that? I'm totally fine Noa."
"But your scent is... different" What does Noa mean by that? Great! He's creeping me with that statement.
"What are you saying Noa? You're acting like a dog - Just kidding!" But his face turned grey. "Noa?"
"Never mind. Just change and I'll prepare breakfast." then he went downstairs not looking back at me. What' with him? Did I say something wrong?
We were silent eating our breakfast, then Noa got his bike and I sat at the back holding the edge of his uniform. He really seems mad at me. He went ahead of me not saying a word so I just decided to go to my room. It was still early that there are not many students in the hallways. When I opened the door, my eyes widen... Jun s the only one there! My worries about Noa just fade away!
Ta-thump! Ta-thump!
My heart's beating loudly again. Seeing his face, his hair... everything about him made it seem like time's stopped.
"G-good morning Jun!" I greeted trying to compose myself.
"Good morning" and he smiled. Gosh! His smile is going to melt me!!!! I placed my bag to my seat and sat a little closer to him.
"Can I... umm.." I gulped. I really want to do something to him.
"What?"
"You're a vampire, right? Can I see and touch your fangs?" I told him. His expression froze then bowed down his head to my shoulder.
"Ju-Jun? Hey" Then he grabbed my hand, particularly my index finger and he raised his head again.
My heart was going to burst as I saw his fangs. Pointy.
Then he slowly placed my finger to his fangs. It was cold. I was amazed. I was falling more. I want to be with him more. To be closer.
He had his eyes closed. Maybe so he won't hurt me.
I wonder.
I wonder how and why vampires exist.
I wonder why he is so beautiful.
I wonder why I'm so over him...
