WATCH YOUR DISTANCE OR ELSE

Today is really a great day! Except for Noa getting mad for no reason. And I thought I'm the girl who could possibly have weird things in my head. My brother may possibly be weirder.

Lunch time finally arrived and Elli and I decided to eat in the rooftop. She had her bento and tea and I got milk and burger, after all, Noa didn't make me lunch. I am so disappointed!

"Andy, aren't you being too close with Jun?" Elli suddenly asks after she swallows one bite.

"What do you mean Elli? I don't understand what you're trying to say."

"Do you believe in vampires?" I don't follow Elli's trying to tell me.

"A little. I mean I want to be close to one." I admitted.

"So do you like Jun?" Where is this conversation going? It felt so surprising and confusing at the same time.

I took a sip from the milk and let the chill liquid flow in my throat. There was no point in denying it so I gave her a confident answer. "Yeah, I do like him. Is something wrong Elli?"

She turned pale as if she has seen a ghost.

"Everything about liking him is wrong Andy. Listen, whatever you're feeling to him - forget them all. You don't deserve him. Please. Please watch your distance when you're near him"

Disbelief crossed my face. I could not fathom why Elli was saying all these things to me. "Elli, I get it now. You also like him don't you?" I raised my brow at her. I don't even know why I feel like Elli has some secret crush to Jun. Maybe she actually does like him.

"I don't like him! I just... have my own reasons which I can't tell you" Her eyes shook and wavered.

"Why not? That's unfair--" and before I could finish my statement, Elli shouted "Watch out!" and pushed me.

"What was that about?!" When I tried sitting up straight, a bright light blinded me for a second as I see what just happened.

An arrow landed near my left foot!

"Are you ok Andy?!" I heard Elli in a panicking voice dropping her bento box to the group and my milk spilling on the floor.

"Yeah. I guess so... Why is an arrow--? Who did this?"

I looked from where the arrow was from but no one's there! I glanced back to Elli but her eyes looked to the other side - not wanting to meet mine. I think she knows something!

She grabbed me by my wrist and pulled me inside the school and locking the rooftop door. "You're safe inside the school. Don't go out until class ends." She warned with a very intimidating tone as she lets go of my hand. Not the usual Elli I know of.

This time, I grab her arm. "Tell me honestly what you know Elli!" I demanded. She pulled her arm as she responded.

"I can't tell you everything YET.I can only say that being close with Jun will endanger you. So please, as a friend, listen to me. Stay away from Jun Blackard." She suddenly ran off before even telling me a word.

Why?

Why can't she tell me?

Who u threw this arrow?

And why do I have to keep my distance with Jun when everything was just going so well between us?

I don't get it!

I don't get anything on it!
