New chapter! Woo!
"Ya' know," You say, looking up at Tyler, "I can walk. It's my arm that's broken, not my leg."
"Yeah, sorry." He says back, carefully putting you down. "I just wanted to get moving. Once one horde finds you, there's no telling how quick the next one will."
"Very good point." You nod, walking beside him.
You walk next to Tyler in silence for a while, listening to Mark and Ethan whisper back and forth, and the man and woman behind them talking.
"So," you say, "how did you guys find me?"
"Oh. We heard screaming and though we should check it out." He says, glancing down at you. "We were looking for some herbs and food."
"Makes sense." You nod, "Thank you, by the way. No telling how long I would have been stuck there if it weren't for you guys."
"What's your name, by the way? I don't remember you telling us. And what's with the accent?" He asks curiously.
"Oh, right. My name's Y/N and I am Australian." You reply with a small smile. It has been so long since you had spoken to anyone and it was nice to talk to him.
"Well, Y/N, what are you doing here in America?"
"I do believe it is my turn to ask a question." You tease with a smirk.
"Right then. Ask away." He replies with a small laugh.
"Well, I told you my name, so, who are you lot?" You ask pretending not to recognise them.
"Well, I'm Tyler-" he gets cut off by Ethan and Mark behind us,
"I'MMMMM TYLER." They laugh together and it almost elicits a laugh from you too.
"Anyway," Tyler says tiredly, "those two behind us are Ethan, with the short brown hair, and Mark, with the slightly longer black hair. Then behind them is Alyssa and James." Tyler leans down and whispers to you, "I don't like them much but James is pretty good at fighting, and Alyssa, well, if she doesn't come along everywhere we go, she gets nasty." You nod, understandingly. "Now, back to my other question, what are you doing here in the U S of A?" You suck in a deep breath. You can either tell him the truth and hope it doesn't make things awkward or lie and hope you don't get caught.
You think for a moment - but not long enough to be suspicious - and decide the truth is best.
"I actually came to go to PAX East with my... with my best friend." You look away from him and you both go quite. Thankfully, he doesn't ask about your best friend.
You both lapse back into silence and you are thankful for his lack of questioning.
Another half hour of walking, the woods end and you are back in the suburbs of Los Angeles.
"So," Tyler says beside you, deciding to start up the conversation again, "why'd you wanna come to PAX?" You let out a sigh. Sure you trust him, but you are afraid of what he would think and how awkward it would make things.
"Um... I came to meet some of my... idols and watch their panels." You mutter quietly, hoping he doesn't hear.
"Oh." He replies thoughtfully. "Did you enjoy it?"
"I would like to say yes but honestly, I barely remember it. It feels like it happened in another world." You chuckle sadly, to which Tyler joins in. PAX, and even YouTube, feels like a distant memory from another life. Three years in what can only be described as Hell has made what you used to consider normal like watching YouTube for hours and scrolling through social media, seem foreign and strange.

I know there isn't much Ethan yet but I hate when story's rush the plot so you're gonna have to bare with me :)
EDIT: Once again, names have been changed (mostly so I can disassociate with the two who they were because after Nov. 15, 2018, I am never dealing with them again!)
