Ryan's POV:
After about a few moments, my mom spoke.
"So, how's everything at home?" She asked.
I sighed. "Its still the same. He's just gotten worse now." I said. Saying so, I rolled up my jeans to show her the bruises. She gasped and asked
"So, have you thought about what I asked you?" She grasped her own hands in anticipation of my answer to her question.
I stared blankly at her.
"What do you mean?" I asked, oblivious to what I was asked.
"Didn't you receive the letter I sent you?" She asked, raising her eyebrow.
"What letter?" I asked, getting more and more confused by the second.
"I guess he hid it from you." She said. There was a hint of anger in her voice.
"Hide what?" I asked eagerly.
"Well, two months ago, I sent you a letter asking if you would like to move in with me and my boyfriend."
She said.
My mind when completely blank for a moment.
"Well, would you like to move in?" She asked me hopefully.
"Of course!" I replied a bit too loudly and excitedly. Anything is better than that hell hole.
Her face stretched into a huge grin.
"Let's go get your things then!" She said.
"Yeah!" I replied happily.Time skip
Ryan's POV:
As I went up to my room to pack my stuff, my mom looked around horrified at the things which were in front of her.
Of course she would be. I would've been the same if I had come back to find my previous home in such a condition.
As I finished stuffing all my things and clothes in my suitcase and went down, I froze at the sight which met my eyes.
My dad had gained his consciousness and he and mom were having an extremely heated argument.
However, I didn't get to see much of the argument
"Fine! Take that fag with you! You'll soon find out that he's nothing but a burden!" He shouted.
All the times he had abused me and called me names, I had just cowered and cried and let him hurt me.
But I wasn't going to stand it anymore. How dare he!
"I'M NOT A FAG! YOU ARE!" I screamed with all the courage I could muster. I would be surprised if steam was not blowing out of my ears now.
As my mom pulled me away to the door, leading me outside the house, I heard him mutter 'whore' under his breath.
I turned around and pushed him against the wall.
"HOW DARE YOU CALL MY MOM A WHORE. YOU'RE AN ASSHOLE, BASTARD-" I screamed at him but was cut off by my mom pulling me outside the door.
"EVIL! FOUL! STINKING TURNCOAT! FUCKING PATHETIC!" I kept screaming and cursing at him whatever came into my head. I was too angry to care.
As we walked outside, I turned around and stuck my middle finger up at him before slamming the door in his face and walking away with my mom.
We walked to where her car was parked and got inside.
As she was driving, she told me
"That was pretty rude but badass of you at the same time."
"I don't care what I say to that man, he called you a whore!" I retaliated.
My mom decided to keep her mouth shut because I was angry like a raging bull.
After a few moments, I decided to break the silence between us.
"So, what's your boyfriend's name and where does he live?" I asked.
"You can call him Dad. His surname's Stump and he has a son of your age." She replied not taking her eyes off the road.
"Really? What's his name?" I asked.
"Patrick." She replied.
I nodded my head.
A few minutes later, we pulled into the front of a fairly big, two storeyed house.
As I got outside, I felt a pang of shock.
Y/N's house was just two houses away from here. I could clearly see the neatly cut hedges of her house.
The events of the past few hours came floating into my head and I realized that just a few hours before my mom found me, I was going to commit suicide._______________________________________
