Time Skip

I never thought i would ever be waking up one day feeling wide awake. Guess I can tick it off the list of things i want to do before i turn 20.

You guys might be wondering how such a lazy asshole like me is managing to keep her eyes open in the early hours of the day. Heck, y'all might even be wondering what I'm talking about.

Today is my Graduation Ceremony. Thank goodness, about time i left that hellhole by the name of school. Time flies fast, eh? Everything seems to have gone by in a flash.

Speaking of that, me and Ryan completed one year last week. One full year.

I don't even know how we managed to put up with each other for a total of 365 days.

But in this past year I've never felt more loved. Never felt more complete.

As I enter the kitchen after getting ready for the biggest event in my academic life yet, I see mom, dad and Candace all waiting for me there. Candace had a camera in her hand.

" morning mom, morning dad." I greeted them as we started having breakfast together. After  about quite a long time, my dad put down his knife and fork, clasped his hands together and looked at me solemnly.

"Y/N, today is the day. You've grown so much. Seems like just yesterday when i took you to kindergarden for your first day." he says, chuckling slightly and trust me it felt awkward  to hear dad speak to me about how much i have grown.

"We're so proud of you." my mom added, looking at me fondly.
I smiled weakly at them, lost for words.
"Also, I'm ruining this moment for you but its the last time I can tell you this." Candace said suddenly.

"What?" I asked.

"You're getting late for school, idiot." She said, laughing at me.
I checked my watch and holy shit, just look at the time!
I quickly gobbled up the remaining food on my plate and jumped off the chair.
I don't wanna be late to my graduation ceremony. As I ran out the door, I heard my mom yelling,
"We'll be there a little later, OK?"
"Fine ma" I yelled back before breaking into a run towards school.

I guess some things never change and I guess this is one of them.
