"I know you want me back, it's time to face the facts that I'm the one that got away..."

8:30 PM

Later on that day, I was walking around cleaning the kitchen while being on the phone with Jayson. Yes, me and Jayson had exchanged numbers before we had left each other earlier. I liked him and I was confident that he liked me. The best was that Trey saw us exchange numbers. That's what he gets for being all up in our grill.

"So Madysen, are you busy tomorrow?" He asked me

"No I'm not busy." I pushed my AirPod back in my ear before it slipped out all the way. Suddenly, I stopped in my tracks. I saw my Uncle Ricky, who had been staying with us for a while now, bending over on the table going from left to right. He was on the couch and his back was towards me, but he was bent over the table and I saw his head moving from left to right.

"Uncle?" I pulled my AirPods out for a moment.

He jumped up and dropped whatever was in his hand. I couldn't make out what it was because he moved so fast.

"Huh? Oh hey Maddie, I didn't know you were home."

I looked at him suspiciously. "Yea, I'm home. You okay?"

There was some white powder on the tip of his nose and when he noticed that I was looking at it, he quickly brushed it off. "I'm alright Maddie. I'm fine thanks for asking."

"Okay, I'll be in the kitchen." He didn't even respond back. That was weird.

"Hello? Maddie?" I had forgotten that Jayson was even on the phone until I heard him kept saying hello.

"Yea I can hear you Jayson, I was talking to my Uncle for a minute."

"Oh it's no problem."

"What were you saying?"

"I said me and my boys were gonna be hanging out tomorrow and some of them were gonna bring their girls. I was gonna ask if you wanted to come. You know, the girls are cool as far as I know and I'm pretty sure y'all would get along."

"That sounds cool. Sure, I'll come. What time?"

"I'm not sure yet, but I'll let you know when I find out."

"Okay" I had now started washing the dishes which is the chore that I dreaded. I always saved that chore for last.

"So you used to go out with Trey? Asking for a friend."

He must've been wanting to ask that for a while now because that question just came out the blue.

"You could say that. Why do you ask?"

"That explains why he was looking at me like the mad nigga he is."

I mean he did make it pretty noticeable that he was mad.

"Well obviously he was doing something wrong for a girl like you to run away from him."

"I didn't run from him. I casually walked away from him."

"It makes me feel very superior that his ex girl is attracted to me. Another reason for him to be mad." Now he's feeling his self.

"Who said I was attracted to you?" I smirked

"Well, I'm attracted to you."

"I'm fully aware of that. What is there not to be attracted of me?" Look at me, flattering myself.

"You got me on that one."

"Let me stop fronting my move though." I scrubbed the big pan so hard, but the stain was not coming out. I swear I hate washing the dishes. "I am attracted to you also Jayson."

"I been knew that."

"Boy" I laughed

"So let's cut all the bullshit and make this official."

I laughed out loud. "I don't mean to laugh all loud in your ear like that but I just like how you're basically demanding me to be your girlfriend."

He chuckled over the phone. "No but seriously Maddie. I want you."

"Awwn, I want you too." I said lowly because I didn't want Uncle Ricky all in my business

"So..?"

"So...?" I mocked him

"I'm not finna play with you, girl. You mine now." His demanding ass

"Okay" I don't know why I couldn't stop laughing

"What is so funny?"

"I don't even know." I was just giggling away

"Well I'm glad I can make you giggle like that. I gotta go now though."

"Okay bye. See you tomorrow."

"See you tomorrow, love." He hung up

I couldn't wait to hang out with Jayson and his friends tomorrow and I knew Trey was gonna be there too. I can't wait to see the look on his face when he see me and Jayson all boo'd up. He gon be so mad like the mad nigga he is. Well he should've treated me better, it's his loss at the end of the day. Niggas are always giving me a reason to leave them but be mad when they see me with another nigga. What the hell do you expect?

I finally finished washing the dishes. That pan with the stubborn stain was about to soak overnight because I'm not about to be all night scrubbing that pan. I wiped the sink off and put all the dishes in their place. Before going to my room, I peeked in the living room to see what Uncle Ricky was doing only to see that he was knocked out on the couch. I was still shook by what I saw earlier. I walked into my room and jumped in my bed. As soon as I sat my phone down it started ringing.

"Hello?" I answered it without looking at the caller ID

"Hey Madysen"

Ugh, it was Trey. I told him to delete my number. I gave my phone the stankiest stank face ever.

"Why are you calling me?" I asked

"Because I wanted to. I actually were surprised that you would actually answer." Yea, and answering without looking at who it was was a huge mistake.

"Trey, what do you want?"

"I just wanted you to know I'm not letting you go that easily."

Who do he think he is? "Nigga what do you mean?"

"I mean what I just said. For some reason, you give me a different type of vibe. I'm gonna get you back and I'mma do whatever it takes."

How cute."Whatever Trey, don't call me again."

I hung up. I didn't even give him a chance to say anything else. I could've blocked his number myself, but I didn't. I just put my phone on DND and went to sleep.
