As I was on my way home I realized that I ain't really feel like going home. All I was gonna do was eat and sleep there. So I decided that since I wasn't too far from the bus stop to catch the bus that goes to the mall.
I was walking through the mall until I spotted this wedding store. I knew it was a wedding store because I saw the fucking wedding dresses and shit in the window. I decided to walk in and take a look to see if there was anything I would like in here.
The store was pretty big, I had walked through the aisles with the wedding rings. I saw alot that I wanted to give Imani, she was the only one on my mind right now. I started my way into the aisle with some other dresses, I think for the bridesmaids or something. I was just looking around until I saw Imani's friend Desirae.
She was bent down looking at some heels and man I did not know how much ass she really had. I guess it was the skirt she had on. Wait what was I doing? I'm still with Imani and I never have been attracted to Desirae so why start now? Besides, she got Jalen. I decided to speak to her on some friendly type shit, it would be rude of me to not speak to her. Right?
"Hey Desirae" I could tell I scared her. One thing I always noticed about Desirae is that she always looked high. I think she be popping pills on the low or snorting some shit.
"Oh hey..Roy" she acted like she ain't wanna speak to me. "What are you doing here?" She looked at me confused.
"Just looking around" I answered
I knew the question of the day was coming.
"Oh"

"Have you talked to Imani?" I knew it was coming
"Actually, I haven't" I put my hands in my pocket
"Oh...well you should. More like apologize." she said while picking up a shoe and analyzing it.
"I will"
"Mhm" Just then, I saw Jalen walking up.
"Wassup man" I said
"Hey Roy" he looked at me weird. Like damn, did the word get around that fast?
"Well I'll see y'all later" I starting backing up and when I turned around to leave I could've sworn I heard Desirae say "No you not." Man fuck them, I always thought Jalen was gay anyways.

"What did he say to you?" Jalen asked me. I was surprised that Roy had the audacity to speak to me. If Dia was here she would've knocked him out on the spot.
"He just said hey" I told him. "I told him he should go apologize to Imani."
So far, my day was going good with Jalen. Did I get any clues today? No. That could be a good thing and a bad thing.
"Bastard" Jalen mumbled. His phone made a sound and when he looked down his facial expression said that something was wrong. He turned his back to me and started doing something with his phone. That was weird behavior from him.
When he finally turned around, I gave him a look that let him know I needed an explanation now.
He sighed, "Everything is good. My mom just wants me to come to her real quick. That's all."
I looked at him for a very long time and tried to read his eyes. "Fine, I'll be right here." I said to him. He sighed again then walked off.
Y'all don't give up on me, I'm gonna find out what's going on.
