"So what's so important you had me locked in this room for like hours?" Hermione said putting her hair up in a ponytail.
"You just wait and put on something nice. It's the last part of your gift." Draco twirled her around playfully. He gave her a heartwarming smile and left so she could change comfortably.
Hermione chose a cozy long sleeve pink and gold shirt and black pants with boots. She didn't bother to put anything other than powder on since Draco always told her how beautiful she was when she wasn't wearing any makeup. He loved her natural beauty but he always tried showing his appreciation when she dressed up.
"Princess, are you ready?" Draco asked from behind the door.
"You can come in, I just need to put on perfume." Hermione went to her drawer as the door opened and got a perfume that rested on top of it. She sprayed herself twice before feeling two strong arms around her waist.
Draco put his face at the crook of her neck and kissed her. "You look beautiful like always. Listen, mum went with her muggle boyfriend somewhere, I gave Mindy the night off so I cooked something for us." He kissed her neck again lightly.
Hermione tilted her head instinctively, "mmmm, you cooked something. This ought to be good."
He nipped at her neck lightly, "let's go eat then." He grabbed her hand and guided her to the backyard. Everything was covered in white snow. There was little lights around the bushes with a table and chairs. On the table there was a glass of water and some soup that Draco had prepared.
"Wow." Hermione stared at the scenery in front of her. Draco guided her to her chair and then went to sit down in front of her. He gave her a charming smile and gave her another rose. "Roses always remind me of you, and not because you keep giving me one every so often."
Draco looked at her confused as she delicately touched the petals. He stayed quiet and waited for her to continue. "Roses bloom among thorns. You were forced to believe negative things and by what you've told me, life has been rough on you. But take a closer look at yourself now," Hermione looked up from the flower to his eyes, "you're an amazing person. You've gone to Madam Pomfrey to learn some healing things and all. You're funny and sweet but tough and defensive, but you also protect me a lot. Why do you protect me?"
Draco started playing with his spoon, "I don't want anything to happen to you. I can't lose you because if I do I might go back to my old days." He looked at Hermione who looked at him with dreamy eyes but he could tell she was paying attention to him. He chuckled at the beautiful girl in front of him as they both stared eating. When he saw Hermione extended her hand to him, he did the same taking her soft hand. She stood up after she finished her soup and went over to Draco helping him stand up. He didn't ask anything, he just let it happen. She placed his arms around her waist and she wrapped hers around his neck and leaned into his chest. She began dancing around an he soon caught up and danced with her.
"Draco?"
"Yes?"
"I love you, you know that right?"
Draco put his hand under her chin making her look at him. He gave her a slow kiss full with love and leaned his forehead against hers. "Of course I know that Hermione. I love you too my lioness."
"I'm tired." Hermione yawned looking down. "Let's clean this the muggle way, I'll teach you. Then we'll go up to sleep."
Draco kissed her forehead before getting the plates and she got the cups. Hermione and him washed the plates splashing each other occasionally for fun. He kissed her wet forehead "Hermione, go shower. I'll wait my turn."
