Hunt VII: Aftermath

After I took Yucca to the hospital, Gladio called the campus guards and the Headmaster about what had happened to Yucca and how I stopped them. He came to see us today in the hospital, to talk about the "situation."

"Hello there Rose, and hello to you too Yucca." the headmaster said as he entered the room.

"So, have you come to take me to prison?" I ask him.

"No, but I do want to talk about what happened that night."

Yucca grabbed my hand, giving it a reassuring squeeze, I looked at her and she smiled.

"It's going... to be ok... Rose," Yucca said with a really groggy voice; she still recovering from being choked.

"Ok yucca, I trust you, now rest your voice ok?" I say to her with a smile.

"Now Rose, I heard from Gladiolus that you beat 2 men unconscious to protect your partner, is that correct?"

"Yes, they were trying to kill her and she was sexually assaulted," I said to him.

"And it happened on school grounds after hours right, do you know what time?"

"Yes, it was around 10 pm."

"And the 2 men were not students of the school?"

"They looked around their mid 20's and they didn't look like Demon Hunter's."

The headmaster got up and reached his hand out towards me, a handshake? I shook his hand.

"Rose, you did the right thing. You saw a threat and you handled it saving the life of one of our students. You acted just like a true Demon Hunter would." he said with a light-hearted smile.

"So, what now? I still almost killed 2 people, aren't the police going to take me to prison?"

"No, I've already talked to them, they're going to send the 2 men to jail for; sexual assault attempted rape and attempted murder."

"Then what about me?"I asked him.

"You're suspended from school until next semester, but you are still required to turn in all of your work, even though you're suspended."

I look at Yucca, she's smiling, she's happy I didn't get sent to jail. I grabbed her hand and gave it a light squeeze.

"So, who's going to be teaching me and giving me my assignments?"

"Iris will be helping with your studies."

"But what about her classes? She'll fall behind if she's out for too long." I say to him with much concern.

"Iris has already completed all of her assignments for this semester, and she's cleared her missions already so she's free to help you."

Iris must have heard from Gladio about what happened.

"What about Yucca, will she be returning back to the school?"

"Yucca will be staying with you until it is time for you to return to school next semester."

With that, he said his goodbyes and left the room.

"Well looks like you'll be crashing over at my place for a while," I say to her with a smile.
