Hunt X: Red & White

It's been about an hour since Yucca and I started our test. Yucca was about halfway done with it, I was a few questions behind her. My dad was in the kitchen making himself some coffee, he then walked into the living room and gave me, Yucca, and Iris some hot chocolate. He then sat down on the floor and watched us as we took our test.

Iris had been watching the clock to see how long it had been since we started, about an hour and thirty minutes had gone by. 

"Iris, I'm done with the test, "Yucca says as she hands her test papers to Iris. 

She then walks over to my side and kisses my cheek, and then she whispers in my ear.

"Good luck sweet pea," she said as she walked into the kitchen. 

I sat there in silence taking my time and answer the question as best I could; "I can't do this." I thought to myself.

-30 mins later- 

"All done Iris here's my test papers," I say to her as she takes my papers.

"Good work, I'll make sure the headmaster gets these, that's all for today."

Yucca had been reading a book in the armchair right across from me. She closed her book and got up to stretch.  

"Rose, you're finally finished with your test," Yucca says as she yawns. 

Yucca and I walked Iris towards the door and waved goodbye as she walked in the direction of the school. 

"rose, follow me I've got something for you," Yucca says to me. 

She then takes my hand and leads me to my room and out the window to the roof. 

"So Yucca, why'd you bring me up here?" I asked her.

"Close your eyes, it's a surprise," she says. 

I closed my eyes and waited for Yucca's surprise. I felt something go around my neck, then she wrapped her arms around me and kissed me. 

"You can open your eyes now," she says. 

I opened my eyes, and then I feel what she put on my neck. 

"It's a choker, with a rose-shaped pendant," she says to me.

"I love it, thank you Yucca."

I hugged Yucca, and give her a kiss, then we laid on the roof and watched the sunset together. 

"I love you Yucca."

I love you too Rose."

We laid there until dad called us down for dinner. we went into the kitchen and helped him set the table, and then we began eating. 

"So Rose, I got a letter from Snapdragon, she said that as long as everything goes well with her mission she'll be able to come home for Christmas," he says to me. 

"Really? That's great! well, be like a family again." I say aloud. 

I look over at Yucca and I smile at her.

"I'm really glad your happy Rose," she says to me. 

We all slime and begin eating, after that, we cleaned up, then we went to our rooms and got ready for bed.

Yucca and I slept in the same room. 

Yucca sat on my bed, reading a book, I sat behind her and wrapped my arms around her while she was reading until I fell asleep. 

"Goodnight rosebud, I love you."
