Hunt XVII: Cursed

"I was cursed, what do you mean cursed?" Rose asked the headmaster in a rather aggressive tone.

"It seems you've finally had your Awakening Rose," Rosa says as she entering the headmaster's office.

"Mom why are you here?" she asks confused.

"Because Ms. Rose I asked her to come." The headmaster informs her.

"What about Yucca is she cursed too?" Rose asked worriedly.

"No Yucca's fine, but it seems she has also awakened too," Rosa says to Rose reassuring her.

"Rose, stop talking and listen please," Rosa says looking at Rose rather serious.

"All Demon Hunters have the ability to awaken a latent power within them. It normally occurs in their early teenage years or even as late as the mid-'20s." She explains to Rose.

"An Awakening is the point when your unique abilities surfaces," she tells both Rose and Yucca.

"You and Yucca Awakened to your latent powers because of my blood during your time in the hospital," she tells them.

"My blood ; since I have already awakened to my powers;  created a chain reaction in your bloodstream which cause your powers to surface sooner than expected," she tells them.

"Yucca awakened the ability to use magic or at least she can use the basic elemental types; fire, ice, lightning," Rosa said looking towards Yucca.

"But what about me, I awakened a curse?" Rose asks confused.

"You awoke to an ability that is very common for Hunters who wield scythes called curse," Rosa tells her.

"It's a very powerful and taxing ability, but if you can learn how to use it will become your greatest strength," Rosa says moving some of Rose's hair away from her face.

"So if I learn how to use it what will it grant me as far as power?" Rose asks her.

"You remember the fight we had? That was only a small fraction of the power I can manifest with curse." Rosa asks her.

"To put it simply that was about 10 to 15% just imagine it at full power," she tells her.

"So are you gonna teach me how to use it right?" Rose asks her.

"Yes, and I asked Orchid if she could teach Yucca how to use magic," Rosa tells her.

"What about our studies, who's gonna help us catch up so we don't fall behind?" Yucca asks.

"Me of course."

Iris says entering the headmaster's office putting her work on his desk.

"I've completed all of my Junior and senior class assignments sir." She says.

"Iris has the ability to make clones of herself, and when the clone returns to her she retains all of the knowledge the clone has gathered." The headmaster explains to them.

"So that's how you're always finishing all your work so fast," Rose says looking at Iris.

"Yes, I'm also a professor here now since I've completed all of the advanced studies and combat cousre's as well." She informs Rose.

Iris then makes 2 clones of herself one walks over to Rose and the other one walks towards Yucca.

"They'll teach youcca everything you'll need to know to help you advance in your studies. So don't worry about falling behind, also once you two have finished your training you'll both advance to the Junior Hunter class with Alcea and Antirrhinum." Iris tells Rose and Yucca. 

Rose looks at Iris with a questioning expression.

"Yes Rose I have clones that only work out and diets so I can keep my nice figure, I've also had mastery with a wide variety of Hunter weapons and martial arts," Iris says looking at Rose smiling.

"Is that why you don't use a weapon?" rose asks her.

"I've my maximum potential mentally and psychically." One of Iris's clones says.

"I also don't use a weapon because I can level a building with one punch and a weapon would slow me down." The other clone says.

"Rose youre in good hands, you can trust me," Iris says to her placing a hand on her shoulder.

And with that everything was set in motion. Yucca and I left with Iris's clones, and my mom to meet with Orchid to begin our training to gain mastery over our new abilities.
