"How did he find out?" Nate questioned Andy.
The team sat around a table at the Leverage Headquarters located at the back of the Bridgeport Brew-Pub.
"I don't know." Andy shrugged her shoulders. "He just asked me when I was going to tell him and I said tell him what and he said that I knew Eliot and that's when everything went downhill."
"Eliot said you two fought a little." Sophie's eyebrows were drawn together in concern as she looked at Andy. She could see the bruised eye the young woman was trying to hide.
"I'm fine." Andy told Sophie. "I had a knife and he had nothing."
"Did you stab him?" Parker's eyes widened with excitement as she looked at her little sister.
"No."
"Eliot also said you weren't staying in your apartment anymore, Andy." Nate started but before he could get very far with his words, Andy spoke.
"What didn't you tell them, big mouth?" She raised her brows at Eliot.
"Shut up."
"We just want to help you, Andy." Nate got her attention, their eyes locking.
"What.... What do you want from me?" Her voice lowered, sounding a little more vulnerable than she would've liked.
"What?"
"What do I have that you want?" Andy rephrased her words as she stood up. "I don't need your damn help—,"
"Andy, calm down." Hardison cut her off, brow drawn together in confusion. "We don't want anything from you."
"That's the only reason people help, Hardison." Andy spoke quietly. "They're only worried about themselves."
"I'm your friend, right?" Hardison asked her. He could see the numerous different emotions flying through her hazel eyes. "Right, Andy?"
"Being friends or family doesn't change anything." Andy told him. Their eyes stayed locked intently as she continued. "Parker came back all those times only because the cops were hot on her ass."
"Andy—,"
"Parker." Sophie hushed Parker, refraining her from saying anything else.
"You must not trust me much then, huh?" Hardison asked Andy, folding his arms over his chest.
"I do, Hardison." Andy sighed out.
"Then sit your ass down. These are close friends of mine and they aren't going to take shit from you."
Andy sat back down in her seat and brushed her blonde hair back.
"Where are you staying, Andy?" Nate asked.
"With a friend of hers." Eliot replied for Andy, who sent him a brief glare.
•*•*•
"You're annoying, you know that?" Andy glanced over to Eliot as the pair made their way towards Andy's work.
"How am I annoying?"
"Not everyone needs to know about my business."
"Well seems how your boyfriend wants you dead, your business is everyone else's."
