I was finally here, at the New York institute. I was standing outside mesmerizing the big wooden doors. Maybe I shouldn't go inside, I thought. Maybe this is a mistake. My parents are probably worried sick about me, maybe I should just go back. No! You can't go back, this  is what you're meant to do, don't run away like you always do.

"Open the door!" I banged so hard on the door that I could just imagine how red my hand would turn.

"OPEN THE DOOR!" Damn it I forgot, what was it that your supposed to say, Angel something. I will give you my first born child, Angel. No that doesn't seem right, why would the Angel want to change filthy diapers–focus! How do I open the door. "By the–"

The doors swung open and hit me right in the face as I fell back. The right side of my face was sizzling with pain. I could see a blurry figure approaching, it handed my glasses back to me. They must have fallen off when I got hit by the door. I snatched them back. One of the lens had been cracked, I put them on anyway, although they were useless, it was better than running around blind. I could see the figure through the cracks in my glasses. It was a girl. The girl was slender and tiny, she was dressed in all black which made her red hair pop. There was a sword tied around her waist. The girl reached her hand out to help me, although I refused and got up by myself.

"Are you okay?" She asked, my glasses had split into many cracks and half of my face was blood red. It was clear that I was not.

"Do not offer the Angel your first born child he does not like it, as you can see" I pointed to my face, which burned. I could imagine how badly it was going to be bruised. I tried to step through the doors but the red haired girl stepped in front of me. "Sorry, is there like a sign up sheet or something to be a shadowhunter" the girl looked confused by my statement.

"What's your name?" Asked the blonde haired boy

"Rona Blackwright" people surrounded me, they were fascinated by me, I had never been fascinated over. At least they were nice enough to provide a bag of frozen peas for my red face. "You would have thought there would be a ice pack in a place a shadowhunter lives and trains" no one seemed amused except the blonde boy, "But the peas work also"

"See Alec, I told you we should have gotten the ice packs when they were on sale, if we go now they will charge us 30% more" the blonde boy spoke to the boy with blue eyes and dark hair.

"Blackwright that's a showdowhunter name, and we have iratze to help us heal" The boy with dar– Alec spoke

"You need to get contacts, glasses and shadowhunting don't get along, I speak from experience. Maybe we could go and get you some or at least new glasses at this time. I know how you feel without them, again I speak from experience" A new voice said

"Simon, this is not the time" the red haired girl spoke

"You don't look like a shadowhunter" Alec examined

"Oh that! Me and spandex don't go well together" I smiled

"We don't wear spandex, and I mean your not marked"

"That's why I am here, to be an shadowhunter"

"But why? Why now?" The red haired girl inquired. But I remained silent I didn't know what to tell her. "Where are your parents? Did they send you here? If not, then where are they? Are you in trouble?"
